After letting me stuff my face with five dollars worth of burgers, Grey let me sleep halfway to his house before deciding to annoy me again.

"You know, eventually we'll have to talk about what happened.. sooner or later."

"You know, we really don't." I said with my eyes still closed, "But if I really had to pick, I'll choose later. Much, much later."

"Okay." He agreed so easily yet again.

"Okay? Okay? That's reaaally all you have to say, is okay?"

"If you don't want to talk about it, then so be it. It'll make no difference to me."

My, you really do have a way with words.

I smirked at him, "You're diagnosed bipolar, aren't you?"

He shrugged my question off.

"I'll assume your silence means yes." I opened my eyes to look at him, then scoffed and closed my eyes when he didn't say anything back.

"You know Nova, you take for granted my kindness. Some might say I'm not too kind at all."

"Stalking me is what you call kind? I mean, I guess it has it perks when I find myself in trouble."

"With me, trouble will cease to follow you."

Oh buddy, I doubt that. You have trouble written all over you.

"How comforting."

"You're an infuriating woman, you know that? Everything I say, your pert little ass has a comment back for it."

That made me laugh for some reason, "Maybe you just don't see things from my point of view."

"So tell me, what's your point of view." He said with a sarcastic tone I wanted to strangle him for.

"That you've completely gone over the edge. Have you not been listening wolf boy?"

"Oh, I have." He shook his head, "I'm not the ignorant one in the car. You're the one who doesn't want to listen."

"To some stranger."

"I'm far from that now, you at least have some background about me."

"Oh yeah? Like the fact that you're a werewolf?"

"Mm, just wolf."

"Or, or that you're the Alpha of a pack of wolves?" I scoffed, making a face that showed just how believable that was.

In other words.. not.

"Exactly." He said, with that stupid nonchalant attitude of his. Like nothing in the world could possible phase him.

"I'm suppose to just believe that?"

"Why not believe the truth? Do you think your eyes deceive you?" He looked at me and those pale brown eyes reflected, just for a brief moment.

I started to respond, but the action caught me off guard and I stumbled over my words like an idiot.

Do you think your eyes deceive you?

I immediately thought of the lady I'd encountered in my dreams.

Something in me knew that I hadn't just dreamt what I did, because apart of me knew what I'd seen back on Grey's property was real.

It was as real as me. It was as real as him.

"How many.. people," I weighed my head from side to side, not sure if I'd chosen the proper wording, "Do you Alpha over?"
