Nova's POV
Grey watched my carefully as I made a checklist of everything that I had done and needed to do, out loud.
"I've got my dad back."
"Yes, but he's still unconscious. He's only human, pet. Those injuries will take much longer than ours to heal."
"I know, but he's safe now. With me." I grabbed Grey's hand, "With us."
"Everything is alright with us." He gave me a lazy smile, eyes sweeping over my face.
I couldn't help but to blush.
"My mom's still out there. And her.. him," I rolled my eyes, not wanting to say husband, "Montreal Baptiste."
"That's right, but you don't have to find her alone. I'm here, you have a whole pack behind you."
"I hate it when you use my words against me." I play pouted.
"Back at you, sweetheart." He kissed my temple, laughing as I shooed him away.
"I can't think, stop it."
He kissed me again, this time all over my face. I couldn't help but to laugh, holding his head through his hair and kissing him back, this time on his plush lips.
"Okay, okay." I let my giggles subside.
"What else is on Nova's list, hm?" He kissed my shoulder blade.
"Tino.. I have to apologize to him. Nothing's his fault and I.. I took my anger out on him. I shouldn't have."
"He understood."
"But I still need to see him. To talk to him."
"And you will, in time. He'll be back. He always comes back."
"I hope so." I rubbed my temples. "And Titus."
"We'll deal with him soon, as of right now, I want you to rest. Alpha's orders. Complete isolation and solitude in the chambers will do him well."
"I like this we you speak of." I smiled, "But are you sure he won't get out. I mean, Liam did."
"And now he's dead. Catch my drift?"
I mock saluted him. "Aye, aye, Alpha."
"What else, pet? You've got Auguste, Minette and Montreal, Caustine, and Titus. What's next?"
"Two things. Two very scary things." I made my eyes wide and voice dramatic, "Dun. Dun. Dun." I threw my hands out.
He tilted his head, looking at me like a puzzle with missing pieces.
"Your parents."
"You're ready to meet her?" His eyes lit up, his mom and I meeting something he's clearly been waiting for.
"I don't think I'll ever be ready to meet the woman that gave birth to you, but I have to say babe, I'm going to have to meet your sperm donor too."
"Sperm donor. Fitting. I like it."
I slapped his arm. "Don't be like that. He's still your father."
"Not by choice." He mumbled.
I narrowed my eyes at him, "I'm going to meet them both and get it the hell over with. It's eating away at me."
He chuckled, "Alright, alright. When everything's calmed down at the packhouse, I'll have it arranged. Just don't get eaten before then."
I rolled my eyes, but sighed out nervously, nodding my head.
Okay, Nova. Get ready for it, because they could very well be just as bat shit and magnetic as Grey.
And I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad thing just yet.
"What's the second thing?" He asked, twirling a stand of my sun-kissed hair around his long finger.
"The pack."
This time, I could hear him inhale sharply. "Explain."
"I want to be properly introduced to the pack."
"You mean initiated? Formally?" He looked genuinely surprised.
"If that's what we call it. I want to officially be apart of this pack. Luna or not, I want to do this the right way. Just as everyone else has had to."
"Not all of us are initiated, some are born into the pack, not needing initiation. The ones with the gene of course."
"Well, we all know I wasn't born into the pack. I wasn't born into any pack. But I was born to be apart of this pack, to be it's Luna."
"Then it's a wolf welcoming you'll receive, my sweet. It'll be a celebration to remember."
"Nothing any other wolf wouldn't do, okay?"
"Drinks, music, lots of food." He continued, eyes off in wonder.
"Lots of food? I can definitely do food." I nodded in agreement.
"You know what you can do?" He turned over on the bed, until he was completely hovering over me, arms supporting his weight off of me.
"I think I can take a wild, animalistic guess." I wiggled my eyebrows.
"Your ribs okay?" He gently stroked along the side of my bare skin.
"You're nothing I can't handle, wolf boy."
Our eyes reflected in synch.
I shivered in complete, sheer bliss at the feel of his essence sweeping through me, his emotions coating my insides and setting me ablaze.
Hell, he hadn't even touched me yet.
"Who's whose pet now?" He teased, clearly picking up on my thoughts.
I grabbed between his legs, causing him to tumble over, groaning.
"Guess that answers that." My eyes glared over, before I pounced on him.
