Wanting the Bad Boy - Chapter 7: Little Do You Know

Alex's POV

I had plans with Dylan and Casella. We were going to go to this cliff that we found one day. We had been exploring and looking around for cool place to hang out on day and we came across this place. It was a high flat cliff that a dirt road lead to. It was overlooking the ocean bellow it. It was very pretty and it would make a great place for cliff diving, though you may not make it out of the water if you ever decided to jump. It was at least 600 feet tall. It was scary being close to the edge and Casella never sat that close. There were a few rocks back a little further. That was where we usually sat.

When I pulled onto the dirt road and up the steep hill I saw Casella's red Mazda Sedan. I parked next to her and got out of my car. As I was walking towards the rocks where we usually sat, I saw more than two heads. There was Casella with her long straight dark brown hair, and Dylan with his back to me. There was another girl though. I wasn't sure who she was.

I walked up behind them all and they turned around. I instantly locked eyes with the mystery girl's big green ones. I rolled my eyes and groaned. "You guys didn't tell me she was coming," I said with frustration. I took a seat next to Dylan and he laughed.

"We didn't tell you because we knew you wouldn't have come," Dylan said.

"Nice to see you too," Colbie said leaning forward to make eye contact with me. I sneered at her and she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Damn," Casella said. "What happened between you two?"

"He left me on the side of the road," Colbie said in her defense.

"It was close to your house. Don't make yourself seem like the victim," I said raising my voice a bit to scare her, although I'm not sure I did. "I had to sit through her obnoxious singing the whole car ride."

"The whole three minute car ride," she said.

"It would have been longer if I hadn't gotten rid of you," I said with a glare.

"Okay, enough," Dylan said. "We get it, you guys don't like each other."

I saw Colbie roll her eyes as she looked across the cliff.

Casella looked over at Colbie and said, "Now that we're all here, tell us about yourself."

Colbie looked at all of us, spending the least time on me. "Is this when you guys kill me?"

They both laughed, but I didn't. It wasn't a bad idea. "No, none of us really know much about you so I thought it'd be interesting to get to know you."

Colbie nodded. "Well, there's not much to tell," she said. "I'm pretty boring and nothing interesting ever happens to me."

"Where did you live before you came here? What was your school like?" Dylan asked, proud of himself for coming up with two questions.

"Uh, well, I lived in Seabrook. It's just a couple towns over. I moved here are the beginning of the summer," she paused. "Uh, my school was similar to this one. Some good people, some bad," she said looking at me. I rolled my eyes. "I had a boyfriend. He was great," she said. It was weird. A small part of me felt uncomfortable hearing her say that. "Until he broke up with me," she said. It looked like she was sad.

"That's his loss," Casella said, which made her smile. "You seem pretty great."

Colbie brushed a strand of hair behind her ear and put her head down. "So why did you move here?" Dylan asked.

"Uh," Colbie stammered. "Uh, my dad, he uh, got a job offer." She nodded after, more than was necessary. I gave her a questioning look and she caught my eye, but turned away. "Tell me about yourselves," she said, looking at Casella and Dylan. "I already know enough about him," she said pointing at me.
