Wanting the Bad Boy - Chapter 8: Young Volcanoes
Alex's POV
I woke up early. I couldn't sleep. I just kept thinking about my sister. I just kept thinking about the hospital and the bright lights. The sirens, the nurses, and the other patients that just kept coming in.
I remember my only thought was, she will be okay. Boy, was I wrong. It's like after it happened my parents didn't even care about how I was feeling. They were too busy worrying about themselves.
I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. Showers were the best place to think. I loved getting into the shower and not being bothered by anyone. It was a time that I could just think without having to worry about anyone besides myself.
I got into the shower and took my time. I didn't have anything to do today anyway. I didn't have to go into work since it was Fred's granddaughters birthday and he closed the whole shop.
When I was finished, I dried off and wrapped a towel around my bottom half. I walked out of the bathroom and towards my room. I passed my dad in the hall.
He made a disgusted sound and said, "You pig."
"At least we know where I got it from," I said not even glancing at him.
I closed the door to my room and got changed. I put on a clean black thirt and jeans. I grabbed my phone from my bed side table and left my room. I wasn't too hungry so I didn't bother getting anthing for breakfast.
I took my car keys from my pocket and got into my truck. It had started to get a little cold out so I put on the jacket that I had left in the car. I put the key into the ignition and left my driveway.
I pulled into the coffee shop. The quiet ride was soothing. I walked into the shop and Colbie lit up like a Christmas tree. I rolled my eyes and was ready to turn around and leave when she motioned me over to her.
"I was hoping you'd come by," she said happily.
"Why wold you ever hope that?" I asked sarcastically.
She laughed. "I feel like we got off on he wrong foot the other day at the cliff. I want to make it up to you." I raised my eyebrow at her. "Here is your coffee. Its free if-"
I cut her of before she could finish by snatching the coffee from her hand. "Hey, there was more," she yelled.
"You're really bad at negotiating," I said with a smirk.
"I was going to ask you if you would want to come with me to a soccer game? I have an extra ticket. Its already paid for," she said shyly.
"Nah, I'm good." I turned around and started to leave when she yelled at me.
"Please. I don't have anyone else to go with. I also need a ride." It was strange. I sort of wanted to go. I didn't have anything else to do today. Plus, I needed something to keep my mind off of my sister. "Please, please, please," she pouted. She put her hands together into praying motion.
"Fine," I groaned.
She jumped up and down and clapped her hands together. "Pick me up here at 12. Thanks," se said and went to the back.
I rolled my eyes and left the sop wih mycffee in y hand. I went back home and went straight to my room. I had four hurs to do nothing while I waited. I turned on the tv and it was on ABC famil. I had ben watching the weekend movie marathon they sually played. There were still movies playing.
I watched one of the Harry Potter movies. I was never a big fan. It was the one where Harry is competeting against Edward from Twilight and they are trying to win the cup or something.
