Chapter Twenty-Three: Jesika

Dear Journal, 

School starts tomorrow and its been a little over two weeks since I've even seen Justin. He hasn't even opened his window, his mom just keeps telling me he's busy. I sort of gave up on him a week after we went to the amusement park thing. If he nee ds space, I'll give it to him. He's just hurting right now and I understand that. Sooner or later he will talk to me though. I just know it. 

Well, I should probably get some sleep since I have to get up early tomorrow. Christian went home which meant Caitlin had, too. I can't say I'm too upset about her leaving but I am sad Christian is gone. If anyone asks me, I'd deny it, but I do miss him.

Ty got in to online classes for college. He didn't really want to go anywhere so he's staying home and getting a job so he can move out soon. I like that he'll be here if I need him.

September 4, 2011 ; Jesika Williams

The annoying sounds of an alarm clock woke me up and it was depressing knowing I had to go to school. Not only was it just school, it was a new school. I didn't know anybody. And it was my junior year so everyone already had friends. The only people I knew were Ryan and Chaz who had friends of their own and they were seniors. 

I sat up on my bed and shut my alarm clock off.  Rubbing my eyes and trying to stretch to wake up, I yawned. School really should start later than this. Its torture making us all get up so early.

I stood up from my bed and went to go shower. It woke me up to shower in the morning. The water was warm and it fogged the mirror in my bathroom but I didn't care much. 

I walked into my room in a towel and grabbed underclothes. Then I grabbed a pair of jeans. They were a light blue with even lighter lines at the top and down the front of the legs. There were three spots that were frayed. I grabbed a t-shirt at random and it ended up being a green shirt with Ducky from The Land Before Time movies. I put a belt on. It was green and had black studs and I put on a necklace that had a face on it. 

I walked downstairs and made myself some toast and grabbed my penguin backpack. It was the best bag I could find and the penguin was wearing sunglasses. Then I sat down on a chair and pulled my black and white converse on. I threw on a plain grey zip up sweatshirt and was out the door when I saw the big yellow bus pull up in front of my house. I got on and sat in front of a guy and a girl who had been laughing at something. 

"So you're the new girl, right?" I heard the girl from behind me ask.

"Looks like it." I turned towards her.

"Whats your name?" She asked and cocked her head to one side.

"Jesika." I told her.

"I'm Claire and this is Blake." The girl, Claire told me and I nodded. Her hair was slightly curly and she had a bow in it, which I saw when she turned to look at someone behind her. 

"She's really harmless." Blake told me and I nodded. "So where did you move from?"

"California." I told him and he smiled. 

"Why would you come here?" He asked me and I smiled at him.

"Why does everyone ask that?" 

"Well, California is the place to be." Claire turned back.

"Not for me." I told her and she smiled.

"I like you. You're cool." She told me and came and sat with me. Blake came up too so it was all three of us sitting together. I noticed Claire was in a light green skirt that went up to her waist where it was met with a small brown belt and a white t-shirt that was tucked under it. She had on white lace looking flats and bangles. Her bag was a white tote bag. The only makeup she had on was a bit of eyeliner and mascara.
