"Clint!" Your teeth shone brightly as your lips pulled back into the largest smile they were capable of.

"Hi (name). Listen I have to go do something. I'll meet you in the archery room tonight at around eight." The words rushed out of Clint's mouth and you stood still trying to piece together the sentence. Inwardly Clint sighed in relief as he dropped a kiss to the top of your head and practically sprinted from the hangar.

"Wait Clint I-" Your lips twisted into a frown as you trailed off. You should've known he would be long gone by the time you detangled the words. He did that every time he wanted to distract you. Sometimes you hated that man. Of course the time you decided to be all romantic by reserving a table at his favorite restaurant would be when he was busy.

With a large sigh you slowly shuffled from the hangar. You had a half a mind to track Clint down and see what was so important that your boyfriend of three years would reject you like that. Instantly you shook your head to cleanse that thought from your brain. He had just gotten back from a mission he probably just had to write a report on it.  Your funk had been lifted only slightly, but returned full force after you glanced at your watch. You still had three and a half hours before your date.

"Hi I would like to cancel a reservation. It was at for Barton at seven." You unhappily stated once the peppy waiter picked up the other line.

"Alright, thank you for the consideration." The waiter chirped before the tell-tell sound of static buzzed in your ear. You stuffed your cellphone back into the depths of your pocket as you tried to think of something to occupy the spare time.

"Finally." You muttered to yourself as you watched the clock hands move to the eight and twelve. A smile took up residence on your face once again as you casually strolled towards the archery room. You had to will yourself not to dart forward as Clint came into your view. He leaned against the door of the archery room up until the sound of your footsteps approached him.

"I need you to close your eyes real quick." Clint commanded as he wrapped his arms around you. You gave a small amused shake of your head before shutting your eyes as requested.  Clint's warm hand swiftly covered your already closed eyes and he softly pulled you forward. You blindly followed him for a few seconds until he told you to stop. You could feel him move behind you, as his hand dropped from your face. Fifteen targets had been placed in a row with multiple arrows in each one so that each target had a letter that spelt out 'WILL YOU MARRY ME?'.

"Yes." You breathlessly answered, before twisting around to face your kneeling fiancé. He easily and quickly slipped the diamond ring on your finger before pulling you down for a passionate kiss.

Knots filled your stomach and locked in butterflies as you stared at your reflection in the mirror. Your snow white gown hugged your torso flawlessly before it spread out an inch or two below your hips into a mermaid skirt. With shaky hands you readjusted the diamond headpiece so that the teardrop lined up perfectly with the center of your forehead. Nervousness overcame you and you began to fidget. You bit your lip as smoothed down your beaded veil and pulled up on your strapless dress.

"Time to start." Natasha, aka maid of honor, stated while she knocked on the door. You hastily grabbed your bouquet as the beginning of the Wedding March began to trickle from the piano. You took a deep breath before you opened the door and started for the alter. Your knees felt weak, but you concealed your trouble walking like a pro and focused solely on your soon to be husband. It was a wise decision on your part to pick the church with the shortest aisle because the already short trip seemed too long for you once you finally reached your fiancé.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to witness the joining of this man and this woman in holy matrimony. If anyone has an objection as to why these two should not wed speak now or forever hold your peace."  The preacher spoke loudly, but you were distracted from his voice by the love in Clint's eyes.

"I believe the two of you wrote your own vows, so ladies first." The preacher continued on with the ceremony.  You took a deep breath to sooth your frazzled nerves so that you wouldn't just blurt out whatever popped into your head.

"I just really love you Clint. I was never one for all those romantic movies or books, but now when I think about you all those cheesy love speeches come to me and I actually welcome it. You truly are the other half of me.  When life has its ups and downs I want to be there with you and for you."  Your vow was a tad on the short side and you knew it, but proclaiming your love in front of a crowd didn't float your boat. You planned on showing him how much you loved him after the wedding.

"(Name) when I was gone for a month for work I missed you every second, and on the way back I realized that I wanted to spend every day of my life with you. I love you more than anything else in the world, even my bow."

Tears pooled in your eyes as Clint spouted those beautiful words. You knew he loved you, even though he rarely said it, but having him say that in front of everybody put things into a new perspective.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Both you and Clint leaned in at the same time and the sound of Tony's whoops made the two of you break apart laughing. You rested you head on his shoulder and intertwined your fingers with his as you relished in your new last name.

"So want to get a hotel room for about a week?" You whispered in his ear as you strolled over to cut the cake.

"Make it a month."
