August 10, 9:32 pm.

Today at school, Cameron was unrecognizeable. He looked and he was exhausted. The bags under his eyes showed the hurt that he tried to hide from everyone. His face was slim and blank. His bloodshot eyes hadn't the same life they had some days ago and the dark circles under his eyes related his lack of sleep. His clothes were wrinkled and it was obvious to me that the straight line that his lips formed was a sign that he hadn't smiled all day long.

"She took him, S." Cameron croaked. "Dad went to her house, but she wasn't there. Nothing was there. She just left with T. No explanation, she just left."

I looked around. People were walking to their classes. Some minutes later, we were the only ones at the hall.

"Did you bring your car?" I asked him, looking to the sides and making sure no one was near.

"Yeah," He answered, taking the keys out of his pocket.

"Come on, we're ditching school," I smirked.

"I can't, S. It's not good to ditch school." He murmured facing the floor.

"Screw school. Look at you. You're not in the state to go to school now," I told him. He nodded and followed me. We almost got caught by Mr. Perkins, but we didn't.

"I'm driving," I informed him.

"You don't have your license." He snapped back.

"I know how to drive," I smirked and hopped in the driver's seat.

"Okay, just don't get us killed. I'm way too young to die," He sighed. I chuckled.

I drove up to my house. Mom and dad had gone out and we were alone.

We ended up screaming to the lyrics of Girls Just Want To Have Fun and trying to bake some brownies. They burned and the neighbor came over to complain about the noise. I told him we were robbers stealing plants. I know, totally random, but I didn't care. He left with a big scowl and cussing at us.

All we did was laugh. We talked about fuzzy slippers, sunny days and we even sang the ABC song backwards. It was around 2:00 pm when mom came over. She was furious that we had skipped school. Cameron hid himself in my room and snuck out through the window. So now, I'm grounded.

No TV and I have to have my lights off by 10:00 pm for two weeks.

It sure as hell was worth it though.
