August 19, 10:24 pm.
I just came back from your house. I laughed and I had fun.
And to be quite honest I don't quite like it.
Things were just like they used to be. I found it strange even.
It was four pm when I decided I'd go to your house to we could work on the project. I rang the doorbell and you opened the door.
You smiled and hugged me and told me your mom had been waiting for me. We entered the kitchen and the whole place smelled like recently made cake. The scent filled my nostrils.
"Stephanie!" Your mom exclaimed, rushing over to me and giving me a big hug.
I smiled and hugged her back. No matter how far we got from the other, you mom would always be awesome.
I guess it's something you did not inherit from her.
"I was so happy when Tyler told me you were coming over!" She beamed. "It has been a long time since you came here and I can say I miss you putting my son on the right line. Without you he is so lost!" She laughed. I looked behind to you and your cheeks were red.
"Mom, please." You scratched the back of your neck.
"What?" She asked you. "Anyways, I want you to come over more times, Stephanie. You are always more than welcome here. At least you don't complain about my cheesecake having too many carbs," She threw you a look.
"Mom, it was one time that Lau complained. Only one time." You rolled your eyes.
"One time that I won't forget that easily," She snickered.
You laughed and grabbed my hand. A sudden volt of electricity ran through my veins, but I quickly let my hand go of yours.
"What wrong?" You asked.
"Nothing, I just... My hand is hurting, that's all." I murmured.
God, I was so bad at lying.
"Okay, then." You smiled and took my other hand and lead me to your room.
Your room was basically the same since I last came here. Posters were glued to the wall, dirty laundry was everywhere in the floor and bed. It was a chaos. A chaos I used to call my second home before.
You told me to sit on the bed and that's what I did. You then grabbed your backpack and closed the door.
You put the notebooks on the floor and started:
"Okay, so we're studying about the five senses. Touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste."
I nodded and sat beside you.
"Okay, so I was thinking about we do a project about experiences, you get me? I mean, you experience the senses and describe them for me and I'll write them down. Is it a good idea?" You asked and I nodded in response.
"Okay, so what about we start with touch?" You questioned and I shrugged.
"Okay, so you'll have to clothes your eyes and I'll touch a part of your body and you describe to be what it feels like, ok?" You inquired, and my heart started beating faster.
I hope you weren't such a weak spot of mine.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Ready?" you asked, and I nodded.
My heart was hammering in my chest. That was when I felt your touch on my supple cheek.
Oh God. I couldn't do it. I was feeling the world rush through my veins.
I remembered it was only a school project.
Nothing more than that.
And I also remembered that I had a boyfriend.
A sweet and handsome boyfriend.
Your hand made its way to my hand. I felt chills on my skin.
"What do you feel?" You asked me.
"Uh..." I stammered like a fool. "I feel like a bug is walking on my skin." I said quickly.
What a good description. Note the sarcasm.
But come on, of course I wouldn't tell you what I was really feeling, right?
You wrote down what I told you and next came taste. You only gave me something sweet and sour to eat and told me to describe the taste.
And we made the rest of the experiences. It was 7:00 pm when we were done and we went downstairs. Your mom told us she would sleep because she had a headache. So you had to made dinner. I offered to help, and you accepted my offer.
You made the tacos and I made the sauces. They tasted horrible, so you just drove to the nearest taco bell and bought some.
Aiden came down a half and hour later. He then started screaming and saying that Star Wars was gonna pass. You invited me to watch it with you guys. I wanted to deny the offer, but come on!
It was Star Wars for crying out loud!
You laughed when Obi-Wan Kenobi disappeared and I hit you so hard in the forehead that it created a red spot. I was quietly watching my movie when you tapped me on the shoulder and showed me a picture. It was me with my eyes widened and looking at the screen. It was the first moment I had seen Princess Leia, because she was so funny with those braids and all.
You told me you'd post it and I told you not to.So here I am, in bed, on a school night and I am talking to Cameron and smiling like an idiot.
You're so dead wrong if you thought I'd say that I was thinking about you.
