I swap over to the next page smiling slightly. I remember this...The next day he was actually nice, for once, it looked like he was truly concerned about the bruise I had on my leg.

'He even said sorry for standing in my way the day prior to that ...the bloody idiot.'

I chuckle, reminiscing about how stupid that sounds. As I turn over a couple of more pages searching for something that could actually help me right now and I can't help but laugh at myself.

'I must be the worst person in history to keep a journal. I mean come on, Lex! Normal people use one diary a year, writing entries every day or so. I'm that consistent in my writing, I've almost got ten years scrabbled in here...'

Sometimes there was even a whole year I didn't write anything. These things really weren't meant for me. I snort, hoping there's at least something usable in here. Something that gives me the answers I'm looking for, as to why I can't forget about him. Not even after all these years.

What I've read so far was just a teenager's crush unfolding. There has to be something else, something as to why he's still so dear to me. Why can't I fucking forget about him!

My hands get stuck on one particular page. I'd normally never write on my birthday, so something must have happened back then. But why can I barely remember that day in the first place?

'It was my 18th birthday for fucks sake... How can I not remember that?'

I ask myself slightly confused as my eyes scan the first page...
