Chapter 48: Rebound

My twin woke up the next morning to get ready for his usual morning run. He is downstairs within ten minutes. Of course with his headphones plugged in. BD meets him down on the beach. These two enjoy their run together.

Pumpkin Pie is the second on to wake up and get dressed. She heads into our kitchen to brew a pot of coffee and make my hot chocolate to leave it on the island. One by one we started to join her in our kitchen. Everyone stood around talking to each other. Soon we decided to sit down.

As for mom she is busy in our kitchen cooking breakfast over at the stove. The team sets our table together. I took out our place settings to put them on the island. Our doorbell rang within minutes to alert us that the last two members of the group arrived. Fiona and the guys entered through two different doors.

Everyone else greeted each other that morning. Roger grabbed a water bottle from our fridge. He went upstairs to take his shower. Tension is still layered thick from yesterday them. Our family still has no clue as to what is going on. Mike returns and gives us our kisses in their respected places on our bodies.

Breakfast is promptly served at 8:00 am. Everyone dished out their food to eat. The team sat down took their assigned seats between the table and our island. Roger and I sat over by the window. We ate together like one big happy family. After eating we put all the dirty dishes in our sinks.

Soon after that we grabbed our stuff while mentioning goodbyes to each other. Fiona and Mike shared a dirty look with each other. We head outside to the cars and trucks. Our driveway and house are left vacant for the day. Most of us head in different directions for our missions.

As for Roo he heads over to the hospital with Fiona that morning. George and I are really busy with looking through surveillance footage at the police station. Meanwhile back with them at the hospital when Mike's doctor walked up with an update. She spent the night pretty good but was asking for George. Okay Hank mentioned that she can go home today, the doctor told them.

Combing through surveillance footage took a long time but was very informative. Our day is almost finished at the police station. Both of us head towards Graceland that afternoon. He pulls into our driveway to park his car. Minutes after that I opened the door to go inside the house.

Upon our arrival I put down my stuff and turn on the t v. George went into the kitchen to get us some drinks. A few minutes after that he is back on the couch. We kicked off our shoes to relax. I am nice and comfy right now.

I went upstairs to take a quick bath and change. The other roommates came home from work. Minutes after that I am finally downstairs in our family room. We greeted each other "Good Evening." Fiona told me that Mel is coming home today.

All of us are happy to hear that about her release Ninja, Jakes answered me. You forgot that we are federal agents so we know when people are lying to us. Over at the hospital Roo noticed that she was moping around and pouting. You tried Mike didn't you Fiona after she told you he has a girlfriend , he asked my CI. Fiona look away and focused on the paperwork on a clipboard in front of her.

Juan made a quick pit stop at the hospital. When he walked in Juan looked at Roo and Fiona. Hey guys, Juan stated to them. Let me take you to Mel's room, Roo told him. The pair of them head in that direction together. Fiona looks sad today. Yeah I know she was trying to get into Mike's bed on our couch.

The team is still surprised to see him in our house. I wanted to hang out here a little longer this afternoon. Meanwhile over at the hospital Juan is now in my goddaughter's room. " How you feeling Mel?" he asked. I am feeling much better Juan, my goddaughter replied. Of course I know George told me that you asked for me.
