The next morning as the sun rose so did my twin brother. Mike got ready for his usual morning run. Seconds later he is downstairs and out the back door. He stretched out to prevent injury. BD joins him down on the beach.
A text message pops up my phone screen on the table beside my bed. Of course I am still sleeping with my Pedro. The phone went off for a few seconds. It's buzzing eventually came to a stop.
Texting
Mike: "What are you doing with Mel today?"
End of texting
I woke up to see it and get ready for work that morning. Within minutes I am downstairs in our kitchen brewing some coffee for the house, put out two cups for the girls, and make my hot chocolate.
Texting
Me: Abby told that she is passing by to pick her up.
End of texting
Soon after that our family started coming in the kitchen one by one. Fiona, Mel, and the guys came in for two different doorways. My twin grabbed his water bottle the fridge then heads upstairs to his room. Once he arrive heads straight to the bathroom. Roo and Fiona are huddled off in a corner by themselves.
As for mom she is at our stove cooking. The team sets our kitchen table together. Mel put our place settings on the island. Seconds later we collectively look at Roo and Fiona in the corner. We all thought the same thing but no one had the courage to say it or sign it in Mel's case.
Within minutes breakfast is promptly served at 8:00 am. Everyone dished out their food to eat. The team took their assigned seats between the island and our table. Mike and I sat down by the window in our living room. We ate like one big happy family. After eating we put all the dirty dishes in our sinks.
I excused myself to go answer our front door. "Good Morning Abby," I greeted her." Morning T, she answered me. Later on we walked into our kitchen together. Everyone else was surprised to see her. Roger mentioned to Mel that they had a dog. My goddaughter's face lit up with excitement.
A few minutes had passed so we grabbed out stuff to mention goodbyes to each other. The group of us head to the cars and trucks in our driveway. Both our house and the driveway are now vacant. Meanwhile with our Abby and Mel as they both head to her apartment. The team splits up in their directions for missions that day.
George and I ran recon that whole morning together. Across town Abby parks the car in her building's parking lot. They walked towards her apartment. Abby opens the door. Welcome to my home Mel please has a seat.
As for Mel she soon feels soft fur rubbing against her leg. This is BD our dog. My goddaughter bent down to pet him. All three of them head over to the couch. She looked at all the pictures before sitting down.
"Isn't that Mike on your t v stand?" she asked. "Yes he is my good friend Mel," Abby replied to her. Both of them just relaxed and caught up with each other. Soon after that after she is still rubbing his fur. Your godmother is the same way with BD.
Later on we are done with the recon for our mission. Graceland bound that afternoon for us. Meanwhile over at Abby's as she gets an incoming text from my twin brother on her phone. I am going to be there in a few minutes to pick her up. Okay see you soon Mike, she answered.
We pulled into our driveway to park his car. George helps me out off the car. I opened the front door to go inside our house. As for George went straight to our fridge to get drinks and snacks for us. Over on the couch I turned on the t v.
On his way home Mike had one quick pit stop. Within seconds he walked into Abby's apartment. " How was your day with Mel?" he asked. " Mel enjoyed her and we talked about you," Abby replied. Hey BD you liked her goddaughter don't you buddy.
I went upstairs to bath and change into some comfy clothes. The other roommates with George and Fiona. Later on everyone greeted each other in the family room. George and the girls went to his place.
Lunch is promptly served at 12:00 pm. everyone dished out their food to eat. The team sat down at our table in the assigned seats. Roger and I are sitting by the windows. We ate together like one big happy family. After eating we put all the dirty dishes in our sinks.
Every so often Jakes would dust off one of his accents for me. He uses so many of them for the job. My favorite one by far is the Jamaican. It is spot on. This is for the bird smuggling mission in the pilot. After the first couple of month living there finally had a nickname for him. The Master of Accents.
Usually when he sees that I am either down or in my head. This is his way of trying to cheer me up. He likes keep in that character for long periods of time. As for the birds and case they are now over. I always joke with him about jerk chicken or pork.
Soon after that he walked over to me "Why are you thinking so hard Ninja?" he asked. "Just came up with a nickname for you," I replied. Mike looks exactly like that when he thinks too. Your nickname is Master of Accents. I love it sweet Ninja. He gave me a hug that was a little tighter than normal. I can't breathe you need to let go of me.
Mom starts cooking dinner at our stove. The team sets our kitchen table. As for Roger he took out our place settings to put them on the island. Everyone else noticed that Jakes is acting differently happier. The kitchen smells so good right now. Our meals are in the final minutes on the stove.
Dinner is promptly served at 6:00 pm. everyone dished out their food their food to eat. The team sat in their assigned seats at the table. Mike and I sat down together over by the window in our living room. We ate together like one big happy family. After eating we put all the dirty dishes in our sinks.
The girls and I cleared of the table and wiped down the counters. Mom unpacks the entire dishwasher. As for my other brother he washes the dishes to refill it. Our guys are getting the cooler ready with drinks and ice. Everything is put back in its regular places.
Moments after that we head out to beach that night. Bonfire time had started for us. The drinks are passed around the circle. A few minutes had passed story time also started around that time. The stars shone brightly above us as the fire crackled at our feet.
I walked up the shore back to our house alone. Upon my arrival there put my beer bottle in our sink. Minutes after that I went upstairs to our room to take a quick bath to change. Roger followed by taking the entire cue. We switched rooms with each other.
My twin heads upstairs to take his shower. I sat down in our favorite spot on the chaise. Soon after that he joins me with the case file in his hand. "Okay how are we going to fit in this plan Mimi?" He asked. "They will be field correspondents throughout this mission," I answered him.
Our family came in soon dragging the cooler behind them. Master of Accents finished up unpacking our cooler. As for the others added their bottles to the sink. Nat on the other hand just threw her juice box away in the bin. The team heads upstairs for their baths.
Both of us are still talking to each other about another subject. My family returns to the family room for t v time. Seconds after that we are cuddling as I put down my file. Let's just sit down together. Yeah Master of Accents told me that I look like you. Duh!!! It's all in the nickname that he gave us.
They know that we aren't really twins. I've always been older than you Mimi. Everyone stood up in the family room to exchange their goodnights to each other. Roger kissed on the forehead. Our family did the same thing with my cheeks. Moments after that I went upstairs to go to sleep. Our t v set and family room light is turned off. The team followed right behind me. Everyone else joins me soon in dreamland that night.
