"But we're going to talk about your move back to the Philippines with me," sabi ni Dan.

Humiga na 'ko at nag-kumot covering myself up. "No. Hindi mo man lang ako kino-consider."

Dan pouted. "Bakit si Phil saglit lang nag-live in na kayo agad?"

"Are you always going to compare our relationship to my relationship with Phil?" tanong ko.

"Ayan na! Sinabi mo na! Our relationship kamo. So tayo na. We have a relationship na!" sabi nyang natuwa. Nakaluhod syang tumalon-talon sa kama, almost dancing.

Shet. Natawa ako deep inside pero inirapan ko sya.

"Mahal mo 'ko. I know that. You wouldn't be able to hide that," turo ni Dan sa mukha ko dahil natatawa ako sa kanya na tinatago ko.

I decided to stick with my act. Nag-taray ako. "Don't be too... Too..."

"Loving?" offer nya. 

"Assuming. Why do you think sasama ako sa'yo?" hamon ko. I sat from laying and faced him.

"I need a good Manager Love," sabi nyang mayabang, handa sa mga isasagot nya. He was studying my face, my lips...

But I wasn't to back down. "Kung maka-Love ka..."

"I told you, you're my love, so Love. You love me kaya no need to deny it."

"Bakit mo kailangan ng Manager?"

"We're opening an Agri-related business again and that's your expertise. You have a great job here in Macau but it's easy. You know that it's easy and that you can do better. Alam kong your Dad needs you too. Your Dad's not getting any younger. You need to be with him, with your family."

"Ba't parang alam mo na 'to agad lahat?"

He held my face. "I have been waiting for this day to come. I knew this would happen. I knew you'd be mine again."

I studied his face. Everything came back: how we started, L300, Bulacan, our steamy office sessions, how he'd debate with me over work stuff, all the bad things and his love for me. I remembered one issue, "Will your parents like me?"

"Matagal na nilang gusto kang makilala. Dad most specially. He thinks you're like Mom para pag-awayan namin ni France Cortez."

"Si France..."

"In the States, married with twins," he quickly said.

"Talaga?"

"Uh-huh."

"How'd you know?"

"I just do. Syempre I know all about you 'no," he touched the tip of my nose. "Mom will surely love you. She knew you were key to my being normal again when I was inconsolable when you left! Twice!" Umirap sya na ikinatawa ko. "She actually knows about you and Phil. Phil won't like this but she keeps telling me to get you back. Si Phil pa naman ang favorite ni mom na friend ko."

"So, tayo ba ulit?"

"Parang ayaw mo naman, ba't ganun?" pagtatampo nya.

Natawa ako. "Para kasing ang bilis. Ang dali."

"Love should be easy. Parang si Phil. He immediately chose to love Kearn's kid, kahit hindi kanya, he wanted to, he can, he will, it's love."

"Will we last?" I worried out loud.

"We've lasted. Love, I don't believe you were not with me kahit na kay Phil ka. I'm sorry for all the things I did."

"I'm sorry for always leaving you," sabi ko holding his face.
