Chapter 17

Stardue
"Why were you outside! I thought I told you to stay inside the palace."
"I wanna go home." I whined
"Your mother is gone you WILL stay alone in that world."

"Cruz!!!!"
"Yes?" I said shyly.
"Come on its time for you classes."
"I don't want to!" I whined.

He snatched my arm and growled.
He yelled at me and kept shaking me violently.
He pulled me along with him to train.

I flew across the kitchen landing on the table groaning.

"Princess just because your father isn't here doesn't mean you can do what you want. You have a schedule to follow. Its training time little one. You have to be prepared, when the time comes."

I backed away on the table from the big monster. Every breath hurt. He tossed me again.

I ran down the hall lifting the wood of the floor and slipping in. I was breathing hard.

"Stardue!!!!!"
"Go away. Go away." I murmured silently to myself.
"Get here now! If you don't get here when you do later it wont be pretty."

Bella appeared next to me. She sat with her legs crisscrossed but floated.
She was my only friend who passed away. Yes she was a ghost.
I cried silently in her.

"Its time princess."

I snuck out the palace and searched for something special.
I ran along the eerie red glow as the rocks crunched under my feet.
I laughed with Bella as she floated spinning in circles.

Something banged in the distance.

"Hurry princess! We are close."

I heard the shifter being released and I sprinted.

"Which way!"
"Straight my lady!"

I slide into a cave where I fell straight down. I yelled in horror and protected myself from the fall.

"My lady its time. You have to remember if you lose this it will begin once again. You must retrieve it before he gets it and before the sunsets on the 5th day since you lost it."
