A proposal?

"Hey Marshall you've gotta come back to work, Healy's orders" Piper said as she came into my bunk "Ugh" I sighed and got up and got ready. "Inmate where's your badge?" A guard ordered as I was about to walk out the door "It's in my pocket" I replied before carrying on walking. "Anyone visiting today?" I asked Piper "Only my brother. You?" She asked "Just my mum and some midwife she's forcing me to have" I rolled my eyes "It's either that or you give birth here" Piper replied.

We got into the factory and I was placed on labelling "Hey Marshall" someone said I turned around it was Stella, I don't really like her she's weird "Hey don't suppose you could do me a favour" she whispered "What?" I snapped and turned around to face her "Don't suppose you could hook me up with Piper" she said and looked over at where Piper was sat "I'm not your matchmaker do it yourself" I giggled in response "Why are you so into her anyway?" I added "Well she's single and so am I and there's just something about her I like" she said and bit her lip "I'll talk to her later if it shuts you up" I replied "Thanks" she said.

I finished work and headed over to the visiting room my mum and the 'midwife' were sat waiting "Hello Faye" the midwife said to me. I ignored her "your mother tells me you are 2 months gone?" She asked "Yes" I bluntly replied "Now when the time comes you do give birth it's been decided you will be transported to the prisons maternity unit" she said "Didn't know they had one" I said and raised an eyebrow "It's about 3 minutes down the road" she said "What if I wanna give birth in a real hospital?" I snapped "Listen here your in prison you have no say in what you do, ok sweet cheeks?" She sneered "I'm done, see you later mum" I said before storming out.

"Hey Faye over here" Alex said and directed me over "I've got something for you" she added she went into her pocket and pulled out a ring, it was a silver band encrusted with a large blue stone with small white stones around it "This ring was handed down to me by my grandma when she passed away" she said "It's beautiful, but jewellery is contraband right?" I asked. She brushed of my question and grabbed my hand "This is for you" she said and placed the ring on the fourth finger on my right hand "Alex it's lovely but I can't keep this" I panicked "Keep it and when we get out of this hell hole I'll be sure to get you another ring but one with more purpose" she smiled "Wait so we're dating?" I said confused "Only if you want to" she replied "Of course I do" I cheered and we hugged.

We emerged into our bunk holding hands "Your happy" Nichols said as she was sat next to Piper "Me and Alex are together" I clapped "Wow that's some nice ring you got there I'll keep that close if I were you anyone will be after that" Piper sneered before walking away "I thought you were ok with my and Alex?" I asked "I am I'm over the fucking moon" she snapped before storming away "She's just jealous, ignore her it's about us now" Alex said but I couldn't help but feel bad for Piper.
