Chapter 53:
Jessica's POV:Nick spent the rest of the day helping me unpack. When it was 10, he told me we should get some sleep.
"You drove for hours to get here and unpacked all day. I think it's bed time."
"Alright." I said and I yawned despite not feeling tired. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Nick replied, kissing me gently.
I got my pajamas on and crawled into bed, then got back up because I forgot to turn the light off. I got back in bed and curled up with my blankets once the lights were off. The giant minion Nick had won for me when we went to the fair was lying next to me on the other side of my bed. I turned so I faced it and smiled.
I tossed and turned for hours, but I could not fall asleep despite being extremely tired. I got up out of bed and walked down the hall to Sami's room. I walked in without knocking. I didn't want to wake anyone else up. I walked over to her bed, trying not to trip on the boxes that were still all around her room.
"Sami." I whispered, gently nudging her arm. "Sami." I whispered a little louder.
"Go away." She moaned. I sighed, figuring she was still alseep, and decided to try someone else.

Nick's POV:I was having a wonderful dream about Jessi and I, but was woken up by someone saying my name.
"Hmm?" I opened my eyes and thought I was still dreaming. Jessi was standing in front of me in her Darth Vader pajamas.
"Nick? I can't sleep." She said.
"Why?" I asked, slowly sitting up.
"I don't know." She looked upset. "I think it might be because I'm in a different room and I'm all alone. When I was staying here before I left for Nebraska, I shared a room with Meredith and Denise."
"Come here." I scooted over in my bed so she could sit next to me.
She climbed onto my bed, and leaned against me. I put my arm around her and gently rubbed hers. She closed her eyes and yawned.
"Here, lay down." I said, moving so we were both on our sides, facing each other. Her hand rested on my bare chest and she closed her eyes again.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing her forehead.
"I love you too." She said sleepily. I smiled and watched as she drifted into sleep.
I remembered the first time I was there with her while she slept. It was the day AJ broke her heart. It felt a little weird to be with her that day, but tonight was different. It felt right. There's something special when you sleep with someone you love and don't do anything except watch over them and hold them as they sleep.
