Chapter 59:
Jessica's POV:I've never gone mini golfing before, but I figured it would be easy. I was going to pretend it was hard so Nick would help me, but I didn't need to pretend.
"Put your hands here and here." He told me, placing my hands where they need to go and holding them. His body was pressed against mine, and I had a huge grin on my face. It was dark, but I'm pretty sure he could tell because we were so close.
"Now you just bring them back and swing forward, but not too hard." He helped me and I got a hole in one. It wasn't really anything amazing because it was only the first hole, and the easiest, but I missed three times before Nick came over to help. He had gotten it on his first shot.
"Yay! I made it!" I turned and gave Nick a hug, almost hitting him with my golf club.
I tried to get the other holes by myself, but I was so bad I didn't make a single one. Nick helped me make them so I felt like I actually did well.
When we were halfway through the course, we went to the concessions stand and bought Nachos to share. After dinner, we finished the course, and Nick continued to help me as it got harder.
By the time we finished the course, it was getting late, so Nick and I decided to head back to the Manor.
The whole way home, I watched Nick as he drove. I studied his face, like I would normally do on our dates. I didn't get to this time because he kept giving me the look. Since he was driving now and had to focus on the road, I didn't have to worry about that.
When we arrived, Nick opened my door for me and we walked in, hand in hand. I was expecting to see the StarKids in the living room watching a movie or something, but there was no one in sight and all the lights were off.
"Oh that's right." Nick said, noticing my confused expression. "Everyone else went to a party."
"What party?" I asked, kind of disappointed I wasn't invited.
"They went to a bar for some celebration or something." Nick shrugged his shoulder. "I'm not much for drinking and I knew you weren't too keen on it either, so I told them to go without us."
"Yeah I'd rather not get into any of that tonight." I say. "So are we here alone?"
"Yeah." Nick gave me the look again, and this time I couldn't hold back. I lunged at him and smashed my lips against his. The lust from his eyes transferred to his kiss.
