Chapter 14:
Sami's POV:
When I finally get back from Kansas, the first thing I hear is Vivian and Hailey freaking out about something with Jessica. I was worried at first, thinking she had gotten hurt.
"One at a time!" I yelled over the two girls.
"Alright." Vivian started. "So Jessi is away right now. She got a very special call last week. You will not believe who it was from!" Vivian squealed.
I thought for a moment, but couldn't think of anyone.
"I give up." I said.
"NICK FREAKING LANG FROM TEAM STARKID!" Vivian yelled really loudly.
"Wait, what! How does Nick know who Jessi is? Why did he call her? Is Jessi with Nick now? What happened?" I asked, stunned.
"Well apparently Jessi used to be friends with the Starkids." Hailey started to explain. "She moved to Nebraska a few years ago because she had an amazing job offer, but when she got here the offer was taken by someone else. Nick called her to ask her to be in their new musical, Twisted!"
"Really! OMG our best friend is going to be in a Starkid show! This is amazing!" I practically yelled.
"I know! We got to congratulate her, but you haven't yet." Hailey said. "So I was thinking we could go visit her so you can do that, and maybe meet the StarKids!"
That's exactly what we did. We flew to Chicago, somehow found StarKid Manor, and went around back so we could surprise Jessi.
When we got to the Manor, I knocked on the door. Lauren answered.
"Umm...Hi. My name is Sami, and this is Vivian and Hailey." I said. "We're friends of Jessica's and we just wanted to congratulate her on being in Twisted."
"One second. I'll go find her. You can make yourselves at home." Lauren said, and led us in.
The Manor was huge! the living room was probably twice as big as mine at home. We went and sat on the couch. It was weird knowing the StarKids were somewhere in this house, talking, not knowing that three of their fans were here.
I heard Lauren tell Jessica she had visitors.
"Jessi, you better get your ass in here and explain right now!" I yelled. I saw her run through the door. I noticed that AJ was behind her, looking upset. I wonder what they were doing out there.
Jessica told me how she knew the StarKids, and how she has been friends with AJ since they were kids. After she explained everything to me, she pulled Hailey, Vivian and I to the front of the room. All the StarKids were in the room now, and I could feel my face get red. I couldn't believe I was in the same room as all the StarKids.
"Everyone, this is Hailey, Vivian, and Sami." Jessica said, pointing to each of us. "They are my three best friends from Nebraska."
