Chapter 18:
Jessica's POV:
"Guess what!" AJ said, bounding into my room.
"What?" I said, excitedly.
"I'm going to be an understudy for Book of Mormon on broadway!" He said, showing me a letter.
"No way! That's amazing!" I got up to hug him. I was a little disappointed that he wasn't one of the main actors, but still. He's going to be an understudy on broadway!
"The only thing is, I'll be leaving in a couple weeks. And I won't be back for months. Which means I'm going to miss Twisted."
"That sucks! You were going to play piano for Twisted!" I said.
"I know! But I'm sure they'll find someone else."
I was already really nervous about Twisted, but now I'm even more nervous, knowing AJ won't be there to support me. "I don't know if I can perform without you there." I said sadly.
"Don't worry. You'll do great! Everyone is going to love you." AJ said, giving me a hug. "And I'll still be there."
I pulled away and looked at AJ confused.
"I'll be there in here." He said, pointing to my heart. I blushed and pulled AJ into another hug.
"You can't tell anyone about this. Not until I tell them first."
"I won't." I agreed.

The next day, AJ told everyone about being on broadway. We had a party for him a few days after that. AJ is leaving in a week, which means I have a week to tell him how I feel. I just hope I'm brave enough to do it before he leaves.
