Chapter 2:
Jessica's POV:
The next day, I could not wait to text my friends Hailey and Vivian. I quickly texted them to meet me at Starbucks in an hour.
Hailey and Vivian are two of my closest friends, but they have no idea that I know the Starkids. They are both huge Starkid fans, and I was worried they wouldn't like me for me. I didn't want them to be friends with me just because I was friends with the Starkids, so I never told them.
As I walked across the street from my apartment building to Starbucks, I noticed that Hailey and Vivian were already there.
"Hey!" I yelled, waving my hands so they would see me.
"Hey, what's up?" Vivian asked as we walked into the building.
"I have some big news!" I said. "But lets order our coffee first. I need something to help wake me up."
"Why are you so tired? It's 9:30 in the morning." Hailey said after checking her phone.
"It has to do with the news." Is all I said.
We each ordered frappes and sat down at a table near the window.
"So...what's the big news?" Vivian asked eagerly as soon as we sat down.
"Alright. Well, did you guys watch AVPSY the other night?" I asked.
"Of course!" Vivian and Hailey said together.
"And did you see the promo for Twisted?" I asked. They both nodded.
"Well," I took a deep breath. "I am going to be in it!" I exclaimed, unsure if how they would take it.
"Really? How?" Hailey asked, sounding like she didn't believe me.
"I...I know...the Starkids. Nick Lang called me and...asked me to perform...in Twisted." I said, slowly.
Hailey raised her eyebrows at me. Vivian stared at me, amazed.
"Do you believe me?" I asked Vivian. She slowly nodded, not even blinking.
"I'm sorry, but I'm going to need proof." Hailey said.
"Okay. How about I call Nick Lang right now?" I said.
"No way!" Vivian said. "That would be so cool!"
"Go ahead." Hailey agreed.
I took out my phone and found Nick's number. I had saved it after he talked to me last night.
I put the phone on speaker and waited as it rang.
"Hello?" Nick said. Vivian screamed, earning a few glares from the other customers in Starbucks. She continued to squeal. Hailey's eyes were widened, realizing I was not lying.
"Hey Nick, it's me, Jessica. I have two of my friends here who wanted to say hi." I said, smirking.
"H-h-hi." Vivian said nervously, obviously starstruck.
"Oh my god! I cannot believe it's you!" Hailey said, really excited.
"Hi. So you're friends of Jessica? What are your names?" He asked. Hailey and Vivian introduced themselves. Vivian seemed as though she had trouble speaking.
"Nice to meet you. So, are you two coming to see your friend perform in Twisted?" Nick asked them.
"Totally!" Hailey said. Vivian nodded, but then realized Nick couldn't see her. "Yeah." She said, softly.
"Cool! I can't wait to meet you!" He said. I heard someone say something in the background, but couldn't understand what. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. Bye!" The girls said goodbye and I heard Nick hang up. I hung up my phone and smirked at Hailey.
"Do you believe me now, Hailz?" I asked her.
"Yeah! OMG I am so excited!" She practically yelled. "One of my best friends is going to be in a Starkid show!"
