Dear Diary,
Yesterday, Dad called. Before I tell you what he was calling about, let me just inform you that I had called him two days prior. The reason for that is because momma needs money for school supplies and funds so that I can go to {school}. That’s the problem with private school: It’s just so darn expensive! So, dad was calling yesterday to ask about what all I need. He wants me to e-mail him the list, and then he’ll just take me shopping. Ugh. I just know that that will be a nightmare.
I also had to call Grandma, and ask her about Shakertown. I may be going tomorrow. It all depends.
Grandma and I also talked about my writing. I mentioned to her about how I had submitted a manuscript to a publishing agency. She said that I shouldn’t worry about things that I have no control over. I’m trying to listen to her advice, but it’s really hard.
We also talked about Dad, Amelia, Trenton, and Mackenzie. Every time I mentioned how I’ve never seen Mackenzie, I felt like I was about to cry. I also mentioned how the last time I saw Trenton, he was two. (He’s four now; Mackenzie’s two, and Amelia’s seven.) I never get to see Amelia because her mom, Amanda, is a little bit crazy. (To put it nicely.) She won’t let anyone see Amelia. Grandma talked about taking me over to see Trenton and Mackenzie. I’m really looking forward to that.
School’s gonna be starting soon. : ) I’m looking forward to that. I was just talking on the phone with Aaron about it. (I know, I just talked to everyone yesterday!) We’re both really excited.
Oh! I almost forgot! I gotta e-mail dad the list of stuff I’ll need for school!
Love,
Alison
