Dear Diary,
I have several topics I’d like to discuss with you.
First off: Why do siblings claim to hate each other? Don’t they ever feel guilty when screaming, “I hate you!” at the top of their lungs? I have only said that I hated Sophie once, and I felt so bad that I started crying.
Is the reason for frustration between siblings merely caused by the constant competition for attention?
I’ve also acknowledged that there are siblings who don’t just feel a slight irritation but truly hate the other sibling. And sometimes it’s for no reason at all.
Don’t they understand that they’re family?
Granted, my family isn’t as close as most. With all the divorces and sourness, it’s sometimes amazing that we consider ourself a family.
I’d now like to take your attention to another well-discussed topic across the country: Abortion.
I’m not going to preech at you about how abortion is wrong, and goes against God. No; to me, sometimes abortion is necessary. But, it all depends upon the situation.
To me, abortion is kind of like the foster care system. Would you tell your fifteen or sixteen year old daughter that just had a baby (and no way to support it) that she couldn’t give it to the state so that it gets fed and clothed and taken care of? Abortion is kind of the same thing. If your daughter got pregnant, and there was no way to care for the life that was to come, then she has a right to abortion.
But, like I said, it all depends on the situation.
If you can support a child, but don’t want a child, then why were doing it in the first place?
I understand that I could get yelled at for my views of abortion, but it was created for a reason.
I can’t remember the other topic I wanted to talk about. So, I guess I’ll just tell you about my day.
Today was a half-day (incase you didn’t notice), so not much happened. I had to stay for a little bit after school for a parent-teacher conference. Mr. Jack said so many nice things about me. : )
Love,
Alison
