Dear Diary,

Me? Who am I? Well, see, because nobody can truly know who someone is, the better question would be, “Who do I want to be?” — because this shows my deepest fears and desires.

I’d like to be kinder. I’d like to be stronger. I wish I wasn’t afraid to cry — to show any kind of weakness. I wish that I was prettier — that those few zits on my face would disappear and show a better view of who I am beyond the outside.

Some of my favorable things? My black eyes — I love how they’re black instead of brown. It shows a unique soul inside. I love my self-expression — how I’m always styling my hair differently, wearing necklaces, rings, and bracelots. I love that I’m never afraid to speak my mind — to stand up to the unjust of society. I love how I appear as this little, weak girly-girl when I’m really this fierce hardcore tomboy.

Things I like about others? I love my mother’s eyes — how they change from green to black, but have a strong yellow tint. I love my sister’s personality — how she’ll come across as an innocent angel when she’s about as bad and fierce as anyone else. I love my Nana’s honesty — how she’ll always say the truth no matter how much it hurts.
