Those quiet lullabies sung into the night.
Those unforgettable faces all alight.
Those walls around us turned black and white.
Those seconds turned hours spent under that flickering light.
Those wishful moments when nothing's right.
Those moments spent with knuckles clenched oh so tight,
each joint colored a deathly white.
Those muted notes quiet down until out of sight.
Those specks of light, far away but ever so bright.
Those that soar across the skylight.
That one falling
the one I know you ignite
the one I wish upon
as these tears cut like a knife
