Sitting here on the damp sidwalk
With the rain pouring down above me
I realize something
I'm ugly
Pale
Not like I should be
Black flat hair
Where's the sheen?
Dark
Lifeless
Expressionless
Eyes
A body no one would mourn when cold and limp
Walking down the dark cobblestone street
Slick from the droplets falling from the sky
I realize something
I'm stupid
Dumb
Not what my parents wanted
Brainless
Isn't that what my friends said?
Slow
Thick
Unintelligent
Brain
A mind no one would miss when it stopped thinking.
Swinging on the old swing at the park
The rain still falling all around
I realize something
I'm dead
Lifeless
Not as I was
Gone
Why'd they let me go?
Six feet under
Buried in dirt
Alone in a casket
A corpse everyone's forgotten
That is
If they even remembered.
