I wonder
I wonder about you,
with your perfect hair and radiant smile
I wonder about me,
with all my imperfections
I wonder about us,
with our total understanding of each other
I wonder about yesterday,
our past
I wonder about today,
our present
I wonder about tomorrow,
our future
I wonder about forever,
and how it doesn't seem to last
I wonder about infinity,
and how it doesn't seem to have a beyond
I wonder about love,
and how it doesn't seem to stay
But what I wonder about the most doesn't matter anymore
Because I'm still wondering about your death in the war
