I'm going to talk about this ship as both with Jamie as a kid and Jamie as a teenager, since people tend to ship it in both ways.
To be honest, when Jamie is aged up, I don't really care. I honestly much rather have them as close friends than brothers, but the ship is relatively harmless when Jamie is aged up.
The real problem starts when people start shipping Bennefrost with Jamie as still a kid.
And to that I say NO. A thousand times NO. That is fucking disgusting. I've even seen people saying that they had crushes on each other IN THE CONTEXT OF THE MOVIE. I've even seen smutty fanfiction of them WITH JAMIE AS A KID. THIS IS DISGUSTING. THIS HAS TO STOP.
I don't even really like that headcanon saying that Jamie is related to Jack (I feel like it takes away the meaning of their friendship, and take away from the message that Jack was able to find a family that wasn't by blood), but goddammit, I'll take it if it stops the shipping.
If you're gonna ship this, PLEASE age Jamie up. ESPECIALLY if you're gonna write smut. Thank you.
