Ah yes, the 'let's pair the ladies up to stop the ship war' technique. Still absolutely brilliant. (At least it was until Korrasami happened.)
I think people ship this so that they don't ship Elsanna, which is great, because the less Elsanna shippers the better. And since with this ship, I don't have to worry about shipping two sisters (the cousins thing is NOT confirmed, before you whine) I can say I kinda like this~
The fact that Rapunzel could actually understand Elsa's reclusion and not paint her as the bad guy would be great, and I think that Rapunzel's warm personality would be able to really attract Elsa. Elsa could also be able to be by Rapunzel's side and help her rule the kingdom once she's found by her parents and teach her to be a responsible royal alongside Rapunzel's mom and dad. Plus, the idea of having the princess and the queen together would be scandalous in that time, which would cause some drama.
There's the argument that Rapunzel is too much like Anna, and that she'd remind Elsa of her sister, which would turn her off from a romantic relationship. And I guess that's true, but if I held that against this ship, I wouldn't be able to ship Jarida either, since Jack is a lot like Merida's little brothers, and that wouldn't be fair.
I don't ship this REALLY hard, I just see the appeal and find it pretty cute. I'm still not sure if Rapunzel could meet with Elsa's maturity level, so like Elsida, I can't ship this as something that can last. But as a sweet fling, I don't find it too bad.
