I did kinda like this one for a while. I considered it one of my Jack ships before I realized that I don't really need it if I have Jarida and Hiccstrid....yeah, that's pretty much the reason this isn't more popular. You have Jarida and Hiccstrid. You don't need this.
Despite that, this isn't bad. I love the idea of Hiccup being indecisive of which one to go for and then he finds them making out XD I need a pic of that! There's the fact that I can actually apply the only Hijack headcanon I liked, which was the one that Jack made it snow on Berk so often to see Hiccup, to him with Astrid, and it makes more sense since Astrid is much closer to the type of girl I'd ship Jack with.
Astrid is my girl and her and Hiccstrid were the only two things I REALLY loved from How To Train Your Dragon. There were other things, like Gobber, Toothless and his design, and the flying scenes, but Astrid takes the cake. She's headstrong, badass, determined, done with your shit, and has her priorities straight, like protecting her country, running circles around everyone. I totally see Jack really admiring her strength and abilities, yet also helping her take some time off and have fun for a while. Astrid probably would be like 'what the fuck WHAT ARE YOU AND WHY DO YOU EXIST' but eventually growing to like him. It might not be as great as Hiccstrid, but the Hiccup Hater in me does like Astrid getting a guy more up her ally~I know, I'm a bitch.
I do like this ship, not as much as maybe before, because hey, Jarida is better, and so is Hiccstrid, but this is fine on it's own. Especially to piss off the Hijack fans~
