Couldn't find any shipping art of these two. Yep, Maria pretty much covered all the ships with an actual following, and she requested the really obscure ones SOOOO.
These two are VERY similar. It's a big reason why, before the movie, I thought I was going to hate Hiro. It helped that Hiro had much more depth and even had some badass moments, proving to be more than just a geeky nerd stereotype like Hiccup. I can definitely see the two respecting each other because of each other's brains and capabilities, as well as how they both managed to prove themselves. Yet I don't know, Hiccup seems to be into someone that's not really much like him, like Astrid, who's a pretty big opposite to him, especially in the first movie. And Hiccup is not insanely bold or anything, so even if he could blow Hiro away intellectually, he wouldn't be able to do so emotionally.
Again, definitely a BROTP I do want to see more of, but I can't see it as a romantic shipping.
