Anyway, how long was it that I discovered this ship? 2 or 3 years? Probably 2 and a half years ago, on 2013. And let me tell you this.
I still don't get it.
Why, on heaven above, is this so popular? From all the ships I've mentioned, this is the most popular ship with Jack. More popular than Rainbow Snowcone, which is practically canon. Even more popular than Jackunzel and Jarida, that have more basis!
How is this so freaking popular?! I've asked the people and all they say is 'Read the fanfics'. From what I read they make Hiccup so out-of-character it makes me want to barf...and I don't even like Hiccup!
Why does this ship exist? Why is this ship better than most Jack ships? Because it's uke/seme? Even though Hiccup is not an uke? And they make him so out-of-character in ANYTHING Jack related?
Just...this ship pisses me off. These are the kind of ships that give us yaoi fangirls the reputation we have. This ship makes us look like the only thing we care about is seeing two guys together, even though they don't have much in common and would only be friends at best, just to see them have sex. Really, I'm certain that this ship only exists for the sake of yaoi. Fuck.This.Ship.
I don't know, maybe you guys can convince me that there is something of value to them? That there's something I am not seeing? That this ship is far more than an out-of-character mess? Maybe.
But for now...I do not get it
