So there is apparently a thing as Astrid X Rapunzel. I didn't know, and neither did Maria, so she did not request this. HA. AND YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW ALL THE SHIPS.
I was not planning on going back to this ship book, but this got requested so I had to comply. Hello again *waves*.
I am....confused, to say the least. WHY is this a thing? Because it's yuri? I just don't get it.
I mean, something like Meripunzel I can understand, since Rapunzel might find Merida's rebellious attitude charming, and Rapunzel would listen to Merida, which she should appreciate. But...Astrid would do neither? Astrid and Rapunzel literally have nothing in common, and there is nothing that could make Astrid notice Rapunzel. She is not one to notice anyone unless they blow her away or get her attention, like how Hiccup did when he out of nowhere was getting good at taming dragons. With Jackstrid, Jack would bug Astrid to get her attention, which you can take that as you will. But why would Astrid notice Rapunzel? She has a country to protect! She isn't one to pay attention to just anyone! She only opens up in the second movie BECAUSE OF HICCUP!
What could they even like about one another? Where would their connection lie? Is this just some cheap yuri pairing with the sweet and tough type? If it is, then fuck you. I am so DONE with that motherfucking trope applying to characters that have 0 connection or anything in common. It drives me up the goddamn wall.
Just.....why?!
