YEAAAAAAAAAAH BABY
GUYS I LOVE THIS SHIP SO MUCH. ONE OF MY OTPS.
I have seen so many people go on and on about how terrible the shippers are and how they only ship these two 'cause of looks and whatever. I don't blame them, there are some bad shippers that only like them for the looks.
But you just don't know how happy this ship makes me.
The idea of Jack identifying with the isolated, lovely Rapunzel who just wishes to see what's out there, who spends all her time finding new stuff to do and new ways to have fun by herself, the same way he used to with his powers, and happily telling her that he is definitely going to take her to see those lanterns even if it kills him, asking nothing in return but to just see her smile, destroys me, in the good way.
Rapunzel would be able to taste pure freedom with Jack there by her side. She'd be so happy to have someone who understands and is willing to do so much for her. He'd show her the world and how fun it is to have someone with you to laugh with and to enjoy life with. They'd have all sorts of dorky and amazing adventures and go from being the stupidly joyful best friends to the passionate lovers who would never leave the other's side.
And then Mother Gothel comes to fuck everything up
It's just incredible how this ship literally sails itself, by how just knowing who they are and what they're passionate about, you can write the most perfect love story. And you still have some elements of angst too, with Mother Gothel finding ways to screw everything up, and how Rapunzel would have to choose between using her hair to see if she can live with Jack forever, afraid to die with him totally heartbroken, or not to use her hair and turn her life so delicate, that if the hair gets damaged, so does she. But it's the kind of angst that you just know won't damage anything because you know they love each other and that they'll never give up on each other...just...I NEED A MOMENT *SOBS DRAMATICALLY*
So...yeah, that was a lot, but I made the message clear. I will go DOWN with this ship even if I die in the process and get arrested by the crazy Jelsa fans.
AND THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FAVORITE JACK SHIP
