So apparently Shrek is shipped with people

Either that or @Valeskalegends is testing my sanity

I was not really planning on going back to this ship book, because I don't really expect any new movie to be as popular as Frozen was and make as big of an impact on shipping as Frozen and Big Hero 6. I might be wrong though, but I think this is over. I, however, still managed to get suggestions for this ship book I haven't updated in so long, and when people ask, I deliver. So here are Shrek X Astrid and Merida X Shrek in all their nonexistant glory. I wasn't able to even find a pic of either of these, and there's no sign that they exist, but, again, this is a test of sanity than anything else.

Shrek is love, Shrek is life. But you know what Shrek isn't? Shippable. No one ships Shrek with anyone that isn't Fiona, because why would you? Shrek X Fiona is perfect. I mean, Shrek X Shadow is 'shipped' but as a joke, as a way to mock yaoi fangirls, possibly. I once saw a fanfic of Shrek and the bee from Bee Movie, but that was, again, a joke.

Shrek X Astrid or Merida are not as much of a joke because it's not as ridiculously random. Also, their straight. Straight ships are automatically plausible and serious, but if you ship two guys together, even if they interact in canon, even if they have more in common than the popular yaoi pairing, they can still be considered as a joke. Why? Because being gay is still a joke, that's why.

But I digress, Shrek X Astrid or Merida (because they'd technically be the same pairing) do kinda make sense in terms of personality. Shrek likes Fiona because she's kickass but still has a gentle and kind heart, which Astrid and Merida are.Personality and compability isn't the problem.

The problem is that it's a fucking adult ogre with a teenage girl, and that makes it very gross and weird.

Honestly do I even need to argue anything besides this?

So yeah, long story short, these are bad couples that thankfully don't actually exist. And hopefully they never do. I'm not gonna rate because really what's the point.
