Just....*shudders*...this ship is waaay too much like Hijack. WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER HIJACK. ONE WAS BAD ENOUGH.
Granted, this is less seme/uke like and is more love-hate like Jarida, them clashing with their egos. But...they're still treated like another Hijack and it bugs me so much.
This is better than Hijack though (most ships are). Since both are wilder and younger it allows for more fun dynamics. There might be a legitimate admiration from both sides, Wilbur to Hiro's intelligence, and Hiro to the fact that Wilbur can time-travel, but I see too much clash in their personalities to actually mix in any way that's not shallow, like having Hiro only want to hangout with Wilbur to learn about time-traveling and whatever.
If it wasn't so much like Hijack (and a little like Hidashi....I actually saw a scene making the same Hiro and Tadashi scene with these two...yeah, thanks for romanticizing Tadashi and Hiro's dynamic AGAIN) I might enjoy it more. But it IS too much like Hijack and too much butting heads for them to find anything worthwhile in one another. I just don't see Hiro liking someone who gets on his nerves, same thing with Wilbur. So yeah, not a fan.
