The wedding celebration slowly came to an end.

One by one, guests began leaving the banquet hall after personally congratulating the newlyweds.

Children who had been running around earlier were now half asleep in their parents' arms.

Older guests slowly headed toward the exit doors while continuing conversations and laughter.

Even Josef and Caren had already departed after giving heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended their wedding.

Eventually, the once lively reception hall gradually quieted down.

Only a few people remained behind now.

The four bridesmaids.

The musicians carefully packing their instruments.

The catering staff cleaning tables and collecting glassware.

And Briar's crew, who were now quietly removing decorations and organizing equipment for transport.

Despite the late hour, Briar herself was still there together with Jenny and Laly.

Of course she was.

Matheus already noticed earlier that Briar never left until every single detail was finished properly.

Perfectionist.

Dedicated.

Responsible.

Honestly—

the more he observed her tonight, the more he admired her.

Meanwhile, he and his friends remained seated inside the receiving lounge area near the corner of the hall, sipping wine while watching the remaining activity around them.

"It was a wonderful wedding, huh?" Flavio commented casually while leaning back against the couch.

Though Matheus noticed immediately—

his friend wasn't even looking at the decorations anymore.

He was looking toward Jenny.

Interesting.

Beside him, Lucas suddenly scoffed quietly while staring toward the table where their bridesmaid partners had been sitting earlier.

"I don't like those women."

Matheus already knew exactly who he meant.

The overly flirtatious bridesmaids.

The ones who spent half the evening trying to impress wealthy bachelors.

Still, he asked innocently anyway.

"Why?"

Lucas grimaced dramatically.

"I just don't."

Rafael burst out laughing immediately and punched Lucas's shoulder.

"You people changed," Rafael announced proudly while shaking his head. "The last time I checked, all of you enjoyed being surrounded by women."

Then he looked around dramatically.

"What happened? Now you all look allergic to them."

Honestly—

Rafael wasn't wrong.

Years ago, they probably would have enjoyed the attention.

Back then, glamorous women wearing expensive dresses and heavy makeup fascinated them.
