Rafael finally arrived at the golf course to join his friends.

The moment he stepped out of the golf cart, all eyes immediately turned toward him.

And instantly—

They knew something was wrong.

Of the four of them, Rafael was usually the loudest.

The Joker.

The life of every gathering.

Even on bad days, Rafael somehow managed to make people laugh.

But the man standing before them now looked entirely different.

Quiet.

Heavy.

Emotionally exhausted.

Without saying a word, Rafael walked toward them and dropped himself onto the grass.

The others followed immediately.

No one asked questions.

No one pushed.

Years of friendship had taught them when silence was necessary.

For several moments, the only sound around them was the soft breeze moving through the trees nearby.

Then Rafael finally spoke.

"She broke off our engagement."

The words landed heavily between them.

Lucas blinked.

Flavio's smirk disappeared completely.

Even Matheus looked stunned.

Rafael had been engaged to Margaret Albuquerque, a famous Brazilian model everyone in their social circle knew.

Just two months ago, the four of them attended their luxurious engagement party in Rio de Janeiro.

Everything had looked perfect.

So what happened?

As if sensing the questions forming inside their heads, Rafael answered before anyone could ask.

"She told me she never really loved me," he said quietly.

His eyes remained fixed somewhere ahead.

"She only agreed to the engagement because of her father's wishes."

He laughed bitterly.

"And now that her father's gone... she ended it."

Silence followed again.

Then—

"Does it hurt?"

All three men turned slowly toward Flavio.

Who was staring innocently at Rafael while wearing the most inappropriate smirk imaginable.

Lucas immediately tackled him first.

"You idiot!"

Matheus joined without hesitation.

Even Rafael finally lunged at him.

The four of them rolled around the grass like oversized teenagers fighting during football practice.

"Get off me!"

"You deserved that!"

"I ASKED NICELY!"

"You asked stupidly!"

Several staff members nearby pretended not to notice the chaos happening on the expensive golf course.

Eventually, the men stopped moving and simply laid flat on the grass, breathing heavily while staring at the sky.
