Briar

She arrived at the waterfalls almost an hour and a half before the ceremony started.

Even though her crew had already completed everything earlier that afternoon, Briar still wanted to inspect the venue one final time before the guests arrived.

That was simply who she was.

Careful.

Hands-on.

Perfectionist.

Especially when it came to weddings.

The moment she stepped out of her car, the cool evening breeze immediately greeted her.

The place looked even more magical now beneath the fading sunset.

Soft candlelights surrounded the pathways beautifully.

Electric candles had been placed carefully everywhere to avoid any risk of fire in the forested area.

Some candles hung elegantly inside wooden lanterns swaying gently beneath the trees.

Others lined the pathways leading toward the waterfalls.

The entire venue glowed warmly against the darkening sky.

Romantic.

Enchanting.

Dreamlike.

Briar slowly walked deeper into the venue while inspecting every detail carefully.

The two assigned crew members were already dressed formally and standing by near the pathways.

They smiled respectfully when they saw her.

"Good evening, Ms. Briar."

"Good evening," she greeted warmly while continuing to observe the setup.

Everything looked perfect.

Actually—

more than perfect.

This.

This was the exact wedding she had always dreamed of for herself someday.

A soft ache suddenly tightened inside her chest.

For one dangerous moment, she imagined herself as the bride walking slowly toward the altar.

Dressed in white.

Holding flowers.

Walking toward the man she loved.

The thought immediately made her emotional.

Despite all her success...

despite building her dream career...

despite accomplishing so much at such a young age...

something still felt missing inside her heart.

Love.

Real love.

The kind she constantly helped create for others—

but had never experienced herself.

Briar quietly inhaled deeply before forcing herself to focus again.

Maybe her time simply hadn't arrived yet.

Everything happened according to perfect timing.

She truly believed that.

She didn't need to rush love.
