Briar
The next morning, Josef and Caren arrived at her studio a few minutes before nine.
Briar herself had arrived much earlier.
Partly because she liked being prepared.
And partly because she was genuinely excited about today.
Jenna was already at the studio too, though she wouldn't be joining them for the site visit.
Someone still needed to manage appointments and inquiries while Briar handled the wedding preparations outside.
The moment the couple entered the studio, Briar greeted them warmly.
"Good morning, Josef. Good morning, Caren."
"Good morning, Briar!" the couple replied cheerfully in unison.
Caren looked especially excited today.
Actually-
she practically glowed.
"Are we ready?" Briar asked with a smile.
"As ready as we'll ever be," Caren answered enthusiastically while linking her arm through Josef's.
Briar laughed softly.
"Then let's hit the road."
She grabbed her keys and headed toward her car while the couple followed behind her.
"We'll just follow your lead," Josef said before climbing into his own vehicle.
Briar nodded.
"Perfect."
A few moments later, the small convoy left the city and headed toward one of Briar's favorite hidden places in Switzerland.
As she drove along the peaceful roads, Briar felt herself relaxing more and more.
This place always had that effect on her.
Even thinking about it brought her peace.
More than an hour later, they finally reached the area.
Briar parked carefully at the side of the road before stepping out of the car.
Josef and Caren quickly followed.
The couple looked around curiously.
"There's still a bit of walking ahead," Briar explained.
Technically, they could drive deeper along the path.
But Briar intentionally wanted them to experience the journey by foot.
Because someday-
that same pathway would become part of the wedding itself.
The entrance.
The anticipation.
The magic.
As they walked deeper into the untouched area, the atmosphere gradually changed.
The air became cooler.
The scent of nature stronger.
Birds chirped softly nearby while sunlight filtered beautifully through the trees.
And then-
the sound of falling water echoed faintly in the distance.
Caren gasped softly.
"Oh my gosh..."
Briar smiled knowingly.
She reacted exactly the same way the first time she discovered this place.
