Thankfully, because Briar had already spoken with the mayor months ago regarding the waterfalls, acquiring the permit turned out much easier than expected.
In fact, the mayor seemed genuinely pleased with her proposal.
What convinced him the most was Briar's offer to allocate twenty percent of the wedding venue payment toward preserving and enhancing the waterfall area itself.
Not commercializing it.
Not destroying it.
Preserving it.
That mattered deeply to her.
The mayor agreed immediately that the natural beauty of the falls should remain untouched.
No concrete structures.
No unnecessary developments.
No vehicles allowed near the area.
The only improvements they approved were:
A proper natural pathway made from gravel and sand.
Cleaning overgrown weeds.
Removing dried leaves and dangerous branches.
Basic maintenance to keep the area healthy and safe.
Simple.
Natural.
Elegant.
Exactly how Briar envisioned it.
By the time she stepped out of the mayor's office holding the official permit papers in her hands, happiness filled her chest.
Finally.
The waterfall wedding concept she had dreamed about for years was becoming real.
And not just for Josef and Caren.
Now she could officially offer the location to future clients too.
The thought alone excited her immensely.
Carefully placing the documents inside her leather folder, Briar returned to her car with a bright smile still lingering on her lips.
Everything was going smoothly so far.
Now she only needed to get to Lily's Bridal Studio before the gown fitting officially began.
Glancing at the dashboard clock, she immediately realized it was almost eleven.
The couple had probably arrived already.
She quickly pulled out her phone and dialed Lily's number.
The call barely rang once before her best friend answered.
"Briar, are you finally on your way?"
Briar laughed softly.
Straight to business.
Typical Lily.
"Yes," she replied while starting the engine. "Did Josef and Caren arrive already?"
"They just got here," Lily answered immediately. "They're currently waiting in the reception lounge."
"Perfect. I'll be there in five minutes."
After ending the call, Briar drove toward the bridal studio with ease.
Lily—though everyone close to her called her Laly or Lee—had been Briar's best friend since their school years in Zurich.
The two women attended the same university and both completed Business Management degrees together.
