"Mum are you okay? You look a bit pale," Amelia-Lily said, as her mother put on her winter coat, ready to go to parents' evening at Amelia-Lily's, Sasa and Leonardo's school. "I'm fine...stop fussing...now ready to go?" Janette said, picking her 2 year old daughter up.
They always found it weird going back to school in the evening. It was as if they were seeing it in a different light, it felt considerably more bigger and the lights felt more artificial, all the teachers with a smile pasted across their faces as they spoke to parent after parent. Aljaz checked the time on his watch, 5:15pm. 5 more minutes and it would be time to see Amelia-Lily's year 4 teacher. Leaving Amelia-Lily and the twins in the crèche that had been set up, taking their youngest with them, Aljaz and Janette set off down the corridor to their eldest daughter's classroom. There was still a parent sat in there so the couple sat on the straw-like fabric burgundy chairs hat were positioned directly outside the classroom. Angel fidgeted on her mother's lap, wanting to get down but was being held onto by Janette's gentle but firm grasp. The door creaked opened as another mother and father exited the room. James' parents. His mother recognised Amelia-Lily's parents almost instantly. "Oh, Janette Aljaz, hi! I haven't see you in ages, how's Amelia-Lily doing? Such a shame about how they're not "dating" anymore," His mother said, Janette painted a forced smile on her face, "hi, nice to see you to...Mils is okay...look we're really sorry but we've got to go, we don't want to be late for the twins' appointment," Janette babbled before quickly diving inside the classroom, she had previously got on with James' parents but she felt as if she were betraying her daughter if she were to talk to them for too long. The couple positioned themselves on 2 hard blue plastic chairs, opposite from Mrs Robinson, Amelia-Lily's year 4 teacher. Angel still trying to wriggle free but Janette continuing to pull her back up on her lap. Mrs Robinson smiled at Angel, finding her simply adorable, like everyone did. She dived into talking about Amelia-Lily, rambling on about how she was chatty, and how she was kind, and how she always contributed to the class discussion etc. etc. Leaving the year 4 classroom Janette suddenly felt light headed, Aljaz looked at her with a concerned look on his face, "you okay?" Janette took a deep breath and nodded, they sat down on similar fabric chairs outside the twins' year 3 class, thankfully they had a different teacher compared to who their older sister had had the previous school year. Janette linked her fingers with Aljaz, he gently squeezed her hand, reassuring her....

On the way back to the car, Angel on her Daddy's shoulders, the 3 older children walking in front of their parents. Janette felt dizzy....really dizzy. She felt her eyes flutter before falling smack down on the concrete road. The 3 children spun round on their heels to find their mother laying flat out on the floor in front of them. Aljaz put Angel down on the floor, Amelia-Lily quickly taking her little sister's hand. Aljaz knelt down next to his wife, trying to talk to her, trying to stop the tears. Kevin and Karen were leaving the school with Charlie when they saw 1 of their best friend's laying unconscious on the pavement. Kevin pulled out his mobile to call an ambulance...
