**this is the sequel to "Love is not an emotion. Love is a promise"**
As the years go on Janette and Aljaz watch their children grow up, overcoming fights, bullies, love and friendship...their love remains stronger than ever...
1st December. The time of year where kids started to get more and more excited, as if they were about to burst. The time of Advent Calendars, presents, reindeers, Christmas movies, singing Christmas songs, Christmas trees, decorating the house, and children running round full of excess amounts of sugar...a time for family....
Janette rolled over in bed only to find a big empty space where Aljaz was supposed to be. Looking confused Janette swung her legs out of bed and made her way downstairs in search of her husband. She found him sat on the sofa, his head leaning back, his eyes closed, Angel curled up next to him clutching at her teddy fast asleep. Janette picked up one of the throws and joined them on the sofa, snuggling up to her husband, giving him a kiss on the cheek. He lifted his head up, rubbing his eyes. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you...I was worried when you weren't there when I woke up...you're not mad are you?" Janette said, not taking to loudly for fear of waking her 2 year old daughter up. Aljaz kissed his wife's cheek, "how could I ever be mad at you my Princess Janette? Angel woke up about an hour ago and wanted to come in our bed but you looked so peaceful and you've finally started sleeping properly at night and didn't want to disturb you so I brought this little one downstairs," Aljaz explained, resting his head on Janette's. Janette rolled her eyes, "you could never disturb me...but thank you anyway...I love you," she said with a smile across her face. "I love you more." Janette shook her head, "I love you most." Aljaz hesitated. "I love you most-er," he said. Janette raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow, "but I thought that most-er isn't a word," she said, Aljaz paused, "well it is now." "But you said that it isn't a word...sooo..." Aljaz rolled his eyes, "shut up and kiss me Janette Skorjanec," he said leaning forward to kiss his wife....the love of his life...
Laughter filled the room as tinsel was twisted round the youngest member of the family, Angel...turning into a walking, talking, glittery, bright 2 year old princess. Aljaz and Janette stood in the doorway watching the events unfold. Aljaz took a piece of sparkly gold tinsel and wrapped it round Janette, kissing her on the cheek. She leaned back onto his chest, gazing up at him with her big brown eyes. "My Princess Janette," he said, kissing her on the nose. "Well then that make you my Prince Aljaz," she replied kissing him back. Aljaz felt a tug on his trouser leg, looking down he saw a bundle of sparkly tinsel wrapped round a little body, a beaming smile across the 2 year old's face as she looked up at her father, stretching out her arms to indicate that she wanted to be picked up. "We think we've finished," Amelia-Lily announced, standing by the decorated Christmas tree, decorated with various baubles, tinsel, fairy lights and some other ornaments. The fairy balancing precariously on the top of the tree. "It's amazing...well done kids," Janette said, walking into the middle of the living room to get a better perspective of the Christmas tree that her darling children had decorated. Perfect....
"What are you thinking about bučka?" Aljaz asked as he played with Janette's hair as she stretched out on the sofa after putting the kids to bed. Janette looked up at him, "you." "Me? Anything in particular by any chance?" He said, hoping that it was nothing bad, that in the last hour she had gone off him. "About how much I love you," she said, a smile across her face. Aljaz let out a sigh of relief. Janette frowned, "what did you think I was going to say?" She asked. Aljaz shook his head, not wanting her to know what he had thought. "No go on," she said, her gaze fully fixed on him. He sighed, "I thought you were thinking something bad....like about our relationship...I just...I dunno..." Janette rolled her eyes, "oh just shut up and kiss me," she said. He smiled and kissed her, "I love you Janette Skorjanec." "I love you more." Aljaz shook his head, rubbing noses with her, "no....I love you more." Janette shook her head, flapping her hair from side to side, "I love you more-er." "That's not a word," Aljaz said. "But Aljaz my darling husband, you told me that it was a word...so I think you're gonna have to let me win this one." Aljaz hesitated, trying to think of how to wriggle out of this debate between him and the love of his life....instead just kissing her on the lips...distracting her...
