Colleen POV
I wake up in Josh's arms still half asleep. I roll over and grab my phone and notice its 1:12pm. I go to sit up and feel uneasy. I sit up all the way and have noticeable pains in my lower stomach. I slink over to the washroom quietly as I grab my right side. I sit down on the toilet and feel the pains through my back. This is not normal. "Joshua" I call out starting to get upset. I hear his feet hit the floor and he comes in. "babe whats going on?" he says bending down to me. "I have terrible pains Joshua. I need a doctor" I say holding his hand. I see Joshua call Kory as he helps me slowly into our room to get dressed."Kory where is the closest hospital?" Josh asks him as I slide on track pants crying. He nods and hangs up. "Kory is in the lobby. He was just coming home. He is going to take us babe. I don't know my way around Vancouver" he says crying. I nod standing up as I throw a shirt on with no bra. "I can't put a bra on" I say looking at Josh. "Its ok babe. Wear my sweatshirt" he says placing it over my head. I grab onto his forearm immobilized by pain. He sees my face and scoops me up. I wrap my arms around him crying into his chest. We races out of the apartment and hits the elevator button as we wait. He is swaying back and forth kissing my forehead. "Baby you will feel better sweetheart" he says. Finally the elevator comes.
Kory dropped us off at the hospital as Josh places me onto the bed. A nurse is helping him take off my clothing and get a gown on. She starts hooking me up to read my pulse and temperature as I cry holding my stomach. "She just found out she is pregnant" Josh says as he tries to read her face. She smiles and grabs his hand noticing he is panicking. "Mr Evans we will take care of Colleen" she says as he sighs and nods and sits beside me stroking my hand. I hear a door open and a female doctor walks in and introduces herself but I don't pay attention. I see the nurse and Josh talking to her as she gets gloves on and rolls an ultrasound over to me. She lifts up my gown and rolls it over me. "The baby is fine Mr and Mrs Evans. However something else is going on here" she says. "Colleen put your feet in the stirrups please" she asks. I try to do it and I feel Josh and the nurse helping me. "Ok Colleen just going to take a culture" she says. Josh is crying now as I am breaking down more. "Give her 5mg Talwin for the pain Susan" the doctor says to the nurse. The nurse gets a shot ready and injects my arm. "I am going to rush this through the lab Colleen. I will come up and see you when I get the results back" the doctor says smiling as she leaves the room. Josh turns his attention back to me kissing my hand as I suddenly feel sleepy. "Close your eyes baby" he says softly watching me.
