Colleen POV
I am now fully recovered from my surgery. My hair is starting to grow in and I feel more like a girl every day. I know that sounds silly but with months of not eating very well and my hair falling out I didn't have much hope for myself looking attractive. Josh has never left my side. He is incredible and I love him more and more each day. Today he's going to shoot some videos now that I'm doing better and he can leave me alone for long periods of time. I walk through the house cleaning up a bit and going through things that I haven't had a chance to in months. I can now easily walk into Lily's old room and not break down. I can see a future and that's why I think I'm not sad anymore. Josh is my future and with him we will create a family together, I know we will. I have made reservations to take him out for dinner tonight and to surprise him with a special night to thank him for everything he does for me over the last few months. I went with my sister and shopped for a new dress. I decide to jump into the shower an hour before he is supposed to be home. I start the water as I strip down out of my clothes. I stare at myself in the mirror. A year ago I look nothing like I do now. I look at the scars from my C-section and my surgery and try to turn away from them. They are constant reminders of what I have lost and what I've gained. I have lost a life but I have gained a life as well, my life. I step into the shower and enjoy the water hitting my face. I grab the shampoo and start washing my hair until I feel a pair of hands on my waist. I jump back into the shower banging my head into the wall as I can't see who it is it's grabbing me. I start to scream until I hear familiar voice. "Baby it's only me" Joshua says. I hit his chest playfully but deep down I am ticked. Scared the shit out of me. I rinse the soap out of my hair and stare at him. He is searching my face trying to determine if I'm still mad or not. "Joshua don't ever do that again" I say grabbing onto my chest. He walks towards me and hugs me tight. "I'm so sorry baby. I got so excited when I saw you naked in the shower"he says giggling. I smile up at him and kiss his lips very slowly. His hands start to slip around my waist and pulled me tighter towards him. It has been months and months since we've been together. "Josh, can we continue this later babe? I am taking you out" I say. He nods with tears in his eyes. "We haven't been together in so long babe" I say watching him. "Time to correct that tonight" I say kissing his lips quickly. I am so thankful.
