"So the birds all sleep up there at night and come out in the morning?" Lucy asked and I nodded as I pulled into the parking lot of the radio station.

"Every morning at the same time, its the weirdest thing isn't it?" I smiled.

"Totally weird in the awesomest way possible!" She gushed.

The entire walk back from the woods and while I drove us up to the radio station so I could do a quick morning show, Lucy talked about the birds. She had come up with a notebook worth of theories about why the birds decided to live there and about why they flew out each morning at the same time. I had figured she would've liked it but Lucy was completely enchanted by it, something that made me beam.

Unfortunately my beam dimmed out when I realized as we were walking into the radio station that I had forgotten to plan a segment for today. I had only gotten around to making a list of songs to play and knowing that I was completely unprepared made me stop dead in my tracks.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked, stopping next to me and I cursed as I ran my hands through my hair.

"I just realized I had been so caught up in the superhero run excitement I forgot to plan a segment and I need at least an hour to come up with a good one. I have two minutes and my song list isn't long enough to last the length of the show," I said, trying not to let it show how much I was freaking out. Why did I think I had something planned? Was I stupid or something?

No Ben, not stupid, just distracted.

"Hey, hey, its okay. I'm sure you'll think of something in the spur of the moment and your not completely unprepared, you have the songs " Lucy reassured and I took a deep to calm the knot in my stomach.

"I just...I've never done a show unprepared..." I muttered, running my hands through my hair again.

My ratings were already suffering and people were beginning to get sick of just listening to music, almost all radio shows just played music. I couldn't believe I didn't plan a segment, I was beyond mad at myself and it made me afraid to walk into the radio station because today was a Thursday and that meant Luke's dad was there. At the same time though if I didn't hurry up and get inside I'd start the show late and you couldn't do that.

"Just roll with what you've got and I'll try to think of something." Lucy promised, rubbing my shoulder and I exhaled slowly.

''Okay, I'll try to come up with something too." I decided, then putting on a brave face before walking inside. I was just going to have to fake confidence that I had it together until I actually did. Of course the first person I saw was Luke's dad when I walked in.

"Hey Ben, hows it going?" He asked upon seeing me and I forced my biggest smile.

"Good. I'm about to go start Radio Boy," I said, almost immediately regretting it. Why did I have to bring attention to the one thing I didn't want to talk about?

"Oh! That's good, what kind of show did you have in mind today?" He asked. I think then Lucy detected the panic that started to radiate off of me because she cut in.

"We're going to do famous impressions, we found out this morning that we both have a particular talent for it," She said quickly, making me look back at her gratefully and in shock. That was a genius idea actually, it made me want to smack myself for not thinking of it first.

Lucy was way smarter then given credit for.

"Hmmm...I like that...Ben hasn't done that before and I could see the listeners getting into that." He then looked at her for a long moment.

"Is your name Lucy Burke?" He asked, catching both of us by surprise.

"Um...yes..." Lucy answered hesitantly and he smiled sadly.
