Warning: Intense chapter, trigger warning

As I ran through the crowded house images of Jamie laying his closed fist on Lucy penetrated my throbbing head and I felt like I couldn't breath properly as emotions I had been bottling up began to boil over.

If he came within a hundred foot radius of her I was going to kill him, so help him if he came near Lucy. When I got outside I looked around the yard worriedly, my breaths coming out in a deep rasps as my fists clenched and unclenched at my sides.

I didn't see him anywhere and I didn't see Lucy.

Trying not to panic, I walked back over to the stage where the others were waiting for me with their mics in hand.

"Are we starting soon?" Rodney asked upon seeing me but I ignored him.

"Where's Lucy? Where did Lucy go?" I asked and they all shared glances.

"She was taking that phone call last time I saw her, why? Is something wrong?" Gene inquired, a look of worry appearing on her face.

"Ben whats wrong? Did something happen?" Andrew asked but I couldn't stand still another moment answering their questions, so instead I took off in the direction I saw Lucy going. Clearly able to tell something was wrong, I overheard Andrew telling Rodney and Gene to stay with the equipment before him and Leopold followed behind me.

"Ben! Ben whats going on?" They called out behind me but I still didn't respond as I looked around desperately for Lucy with a pounding heart.

"Look for Lucy! Just look for her, we need to find her right now!" I yelled at them and they exchanged worried glances before calling out for Lucy and looking around.

As each second ticked by I felt my heart pounding harder and harder, so hard it was the only thing I could hear besides my pained breaths. If he got his hands on her I'd never forgive myself, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. I'd definitely kill him, he wouldn't be able to fight me off in the rage I felt right now.

Suddenly then, just when my anxiety was at its peak, I saw Lucy walking quickly across the yard looking pale faced and with a sigh of relief I rushed towards her before crushing her into a tight hug.

"Oh my gosh there you are, you scared me." I gasped in relief as I looked down at her, that was when I noticed she was crying and she was trembling.

"B-Ben can we l-leave. I n-need to leave. P-Please." She begged and I felt my heart drop in the pit of my stomach. She didn't need to tell me what was wrong, I already knew she had run into Jamie.

"Okay, okay darling I'll take you somewhere safer right now." I reassured as I held her against my chest.

That was when I saw him in his bad boy splendor. A cigarette was hanging out of his mouth, he was wearing a torn denim jack over a paint stained T-shirt and he looked really ticked off.

"Lucy we're not done talking! Get back here!" He called out upon approaching us and I felt my face darken.

"Take one more step Jamie and I'm going to break both your legs. Lucy is done talking to you." I growled as I held her tight against my chest. I hoped he took another step, I hoped he continued walking towards us because my arms were trembling in rage.

"You don't get to dictate what Lucy does. I just want to talk to my girlfriend," He said calmly, chuckling a little.

"I'm n-not your g-girlfriend J-Jamie! We broke u-up!" Lucy shouted from the safety of my arms and he frowned.

"You're right, we did. Well dearest I would like to get back together then but nothing of the sorts can happen if you don't tell your friend to go away so we can talk," He said, taking a final drag out of his cigarette before tossing it on the ground and putting it out with his foot.
