There were times when I really wish I could put a bell on Victoria so she wouldn't surprise me as often as she did. The past two weeks and all day today I had managed to avoid her but it seems like the mouse's luck has run out.

"Do you mind taking a small one? I don't have very many big bones and I'd hate to look scrawny," I said as I tried to walk around her to no avail.

"You think you're so cute don't you?" She scowled.

"Yeah, I'm pretty cute. Now can you pwease move out of my way?" I asked with a pout and she drove her foot into my ankle.

"Ouch! C'mon lady keep your cool!" I yowled as I handed my lunch tray to Andrew so I could grip my ankle. I had already been in one fight this week and I was definitely not afraid to get into another.

"Do you know how long it took to clean those crickets out of my purse? I still have nightmares of them running up my arm!" She snarled, curling her bottom lip.

When she did that she was beyond ticked off and looked like Popeye.

Did I mention Popeye use to freak me out as a kid?

"And I still have nightmares of you running me over with your car. An event that has yet to happen but I'm expecting," I said as I rubbed my poor poor ankle.

"Oh it will. What really irked me the most though was you avoiding me! Did you really think skipping school was going to work forever?" She asked and I frowned.

"I wasn't skipping school," I said lowly. That soul eater wasn't going to dare used against me what I think she was about to.

"Oh that's right, I'm sorry! You were hiding in the hospital with that vacuous crybaby Luke who can't drive a car!" She laughed nastily and quickly Andrew stepped in when he saw me clenching my fist.

"C'mon Victoria. That was unnecessary. Have some respect, Luke could've died." He reminded but she didn't know when to take a bow and by now everyone within a twenty foot radius was watching us.

"Probably would've been a good thing. Maybe then Ben could have learned how to keep a girlfriend." She snarled as she began walking backwards.

"I broke up with you because you're insane and I'm pretty sure I've told you that!" I yelled at her, relieved Andrew was standing between us because that helped me maintain control of my fists.

"You only think I'm insane because you're too sensitive to handle someone like me. You can only handle one relationship at once so you chose your Pokémon wheeling, whiny, helpless girlfriend Lu-"

She started to yell back but Victoria never finished the sentence because she went flying backwards and landed in one of the trash cans with an ear piercing shriek before it fell backwards.

I swear I had never heard some many boys 'oooh' at the same time, myself included as nasty cafeteria trash spilled all over her. Immediately everyone who could see what was going on burst out laughing as Victoria slowly stood up, trash clinging to her as her face twisted several different ways.

If you could believe it though, that wasn't the marvelous thing that made me take a moment, it was when I looked up and realized that it was Lucy of all people who had tripped her.

Everyone was so hyped up in the fact that Victoria had fallen in the trash that no one noticed except me and when Lucy began walking away with her lunch tray in hand like nothing happened I chased after her.

"Lucy! Lucy wait!" I called out but she continued like she hadn't heard me. I was stubborn enough to continue to follow her though and I followed that girl out of the lunch room and down the hall.

"Lucy, Lucy I know you can hear me!" I called out as I watched her continue to walk and she walked straight into the girl's bathroom. That was when my heart sunk a bit.

She ate in the girl's bathroom?

There was always an army of girls in there, why didn't any of them ever offer to let her eat with them?

Or sit with them?

It was heartbreaking.

If it hadn't been for all the girls in there I would've definitely followed her but I didn't want to get in trouble so instead I shoved my hands in my pockets and sighed heavily as I let my shoulders slump.

Very well then, if she wanted me to chase her every day I'd do so gladly until she responded to her name because right now she was too lost to hear it.

My goodness, I am genuinely surprised I managed to update today! My mom had to get oral surgery because her tooth shattered (I felt so bad for her because she was in a lot of pain :( ) and my sister was home sick because the growth plate in her foot is acting up! Fortunately though I still manage to write and post this very short chapter--which I'd like to dedicate to Maddi, a young beautiful girl who gave up recently and to my best friends cousin who also gave up but was found in time. My heart breaks for them and I hope that both girls will be in a better place now and that maybe people will start being a little nicer! Is it really that hard?
