After Leo called me to inform Gene was being suspended I told him I'd meet him after school to explain what happened because by the time the phone call had finished lunch was over. I couldn't get over how mad Leopold sounded, he had always been one of the most peaceful guys I knew, more peaceful then Andrew even, so I was caught a little off guard.

I wasn't going to stress about it though, instead I focused on Lucy and kept insisting on bringing her home as we walked to class but she promised me that she was okay and wanted to finish the day. It probably was best she finished the school day, especially since we missed so much this past week, but I was worried about Jamie and Victoria.

I didn't want to leave Lucy alone, I really didn't want to leave her alone. Unfortunately I was left with no choice so I was going to have to pretend I wasn't as worried as I was when we parted ways. At least Lucy was going to let me drive her home after school, that eased the burden of worrying a little.

The rest of the day seemed to drag out forever, especially since I couldn't focus on anything except how cruel Victoria had been and how vicious Gene was. I felt really bad Gene was going to get suspended if it was true but at the same time, Victoria had it coming and if Gene hadn't thrown that priss to the ground I would have. Running into Gene in the hallway had been blessing because if I had hit Victoria I wouldn't just have to worry about suspension.

Anyways, Gene had said she'd do whatever it took to help Lucy right?

She was just doing her part and I tried as hard as I could to convince myself of that. I couldn't though and by the time the final bell rang I was dying to go home. I just wanted to grab a bag of whatever junk food was laying around the house and go to bed.

The moment I walked down the school's front steps though and saw Leo's face I knew that wasn't going to happen.

"You let her get into a fight with Victoria?" He asked and I held up my hands defensively. Holding up your hands when another dude was mad at you was equivalent to a dog putting his tail between his legs when another dog had a problem, it showed you weren't looking for a fight and I didn't want to fight Leopold.

"I didn't know she was going to hit her," I said defensively as Lucy, Rodney and Andrew lingered around us, ready to intervene if they had to.

"Then why didn't you stop her before she hit her again? Actually, better question, why did you leave the two of them alone? Victoria could've really hurt her Ben and you walked away from them!" He yelled.

Badly my male ego wanted to get in Leo's face and tell him off but I bit my tongue. Leopold didn't know the situation with the journal and Lucy like Gene and I did and there was no way I was explaining everything to him in front of everyone.

"I know! I'm sorry! Gene can handle herself though, the teachers were already breaking it up as I walked off after Lucy! Gene was fine!" I yelled back.

"Gene got suspended and looks like a cat out of hell attacked her! She is not fine!" Leopold informed harshly as he shoved my chest.

Quickly I shoved him back.

"Just give me two minutes to explain what happened! Obviously I wouldn't have left Gene without a good reason!" I snapped. When we pushed each other the other three flinched but neither one of them stepped forward. I think they were just going to let us get it out.

"You left her to go with Lucy! That's not a good reason! Lucy would've been fine for five minutes, you should've gotten your psycho girlfriend away from mine! I should break your nose! You deserve to have your nose broken!"

He then started forward but was cut off by Rodney and Andrew.

"No Leopold! You both are not having a fist fight over this, you two are friends! Stop acting like enemies!" Rodney demanded but I was to angry to back down.
