"Entertaining the party? Like doing stuff in front of them?" Andrew asked cautiously and I nodded quickly.
"Yes. Like doing stuff in front of them." I confirmed and Rodney literally squealed.
"You mean like singing and dancing stuff?" He gasped and I rolled my eyes a little.
"Yes Rodney. What else could I possibly mean by entertaining?" I asked and he shrugged.
"I don't know, when I'm not gaming my party time is cheating at bingo and drinking cranberry juice with my grandma." He shrugged.
"That meaning?" I asked and he grinned.
"I'm in."
Okay, so Rodney was unsurprisingly on board, but even with his enthusiasm and mine Andrew seemed hesitant.
"Drew? Bro, you in?" I asked and he looked down at his feet.
"No, it's okay. I rather not," He said quietly.
"C'mon Andrew! Three's a party!" Rodney shook him hard and Andrew smiled a little but still didn't comply.
"Seriously guys, its fine." He promised and I nudged him.
"I won't pressure you to do it but if you want to jump in the middle of Rodney embarrassing me feel free," I said and Andrew nodded as Rodney scoffed.
"I'm not going to embarrass you! I've been keeping my inner Beyoncé bottled up for years, she's about to be unleashed!" He announced, encouraging the roll of my eyes.
"Okay Rodney, well you better shake her violently because the only thing worse than a party failing is a party failing with bad entertainment." I reminded before dragging my odd friend up to the front of the room where Jake had just finished setting up.
When he saw me with Rodney he gave me an odd look.
"I don't know what you're planning Alderman but you better not embarrass me or I'll bury you in the football field." He promised and I gave him a toothy grin as I gripped his shoulder.
"Have ye little faith my friend? Good old Alderman always comes through in the end."
I then gestured to Rodney.
"If this does fail though bury Rodney not me." I whispered and Jake shot him a look before disappearing into the thinning crowd.
"Why did he look at me that way, do I look to cool or something?" He asked.
"Quite the opposite dear Rodney." I then turned the crowd.
"Hellooo Jake's party! I'd like you all to welcome my friend Rodney and I to the floor!" I announced into the mic and everyone looked at us blankly while Leopold and Gene looked up at us mortified.
"Okay, not the welcome I was hoping for." I glanced at Rodney whose confidence was beginning to shake a little. I hope I hadn't made a mistake letting him get up here.
"So how about we skip the introductions and get to the music?" I asked and that got a couple of cheers. I then quickly turned to Rodney.
"Quick, what party songs do you know?" I asked and he covered his mic with his hand.
"You didn't come up here prepared?" He hissed and I shook my head.
"No, this was impulsive, now tell me what party songs you know by heart?" I hissed back while everyone looked at us curiously.
"Um...I don't know...I don't party!" He whisper shouted.
"Where's the music! C'mon!" Someone from the crowd shouted and I looked over with a small glare.
