"L-Listen, I can explain..." {F/N} stuttered, pointing at the dog on the floor. "It's all her fault!"
Iwaizumi tilted his head as he looked at his kitchen, eyes wide at the mess it had become.
"B-But you need to promise to hear me out completely before you get mad!"
The ace sighed but agreed, sitting down in one of the left over chairs that was actually clean.
"O-Okay, so- What are you doing?"
The boy had pulled his girlfriend onto his lap as he slowly started to clean her face, unable to resist a smile when looking at her.
"Cleaning you up," He replied, "Just continue. I'm listening."
{F/N} took a deep breath as she chuckled, before continuing to explain. "I was gonna bake you a cake since you passed all your exams, so I grabbed the oil for the pan. Your dog suddenly barked at me and scared me, so I dropped the oil and the thing shattered and spilled all over the floor...
I tried to clean it up but the dog had me tripping so I fell into the oil myself, also cutting my arm on some glass. I forgot I had the stove turned on so I tried to get the glass out but the shirt I wore caught fire so I took it off as fast as I could. It stopped burning but ended up in the air and on the ceiling fan, where it's now rotating on...
I got the glass out of my arm and wanted to grab my shirt so I set a stool down, but your dog knocked it over. The stool hit the counter, the milk on top of it spilled and the eggs I had were soaked in it. I tried to clean them but the oil on the floor made me slip again so the eggs cracked... Hence the yolk in my hair. I-I really didn't mean for all of this to happen!"
The brunette hummed in understanding and got a piece of eggshell out of {F/N}'s hair, shaking his head before smiling a little. "So basically, you're saying my dog started this whole thing?"
{F/N} nodded, "All her fault! Y-You're not mad, are you?"
Iwaizumi pecked her nose before brushing a strand of her hair back, lifting her up soon after and waiting for the girl to wrap her legs around his torso. "I could never be mad at you. Let's get you cleaned up so we can clean the house before my parents come home."

"Hey, Hajime?" {F/N} asked, rinsing her rag in the sink after rubbing it across the floor for half an hour.
"What's up?"
"... Thank you."
The boy raised a brow as he hoisted himself from the floor, tilting his head when looking at her. "Thank you for what?"
"Thank you for not being mad at me and helping me."
The ace showed a cheeky grin before putting his rag down, wrapping his arms around her waist whilst resting his forehead on hers. "Don't sweat it, it's the least I can do. Honestly, I should be the one thanking you."
{F/N} felt her cheeks heat up at the embrace and smiled, "No need. We should probably get my shirt down from the ceiling fan, though..."
Iwaizumi laughed at the statement and let go of her, before grabbing the bottom of her legs and looking up at her. "Ready?"
"Ready."
{F/N} stretched her arms out and carefully maneuvered her arms around the rotating fan, cheering triumphantly when getting it out successfully.
When the kitchen looked proper again, the two crashed down on the couch in the living room and let out some exhausted sighs.
Iwaizumi laid down and wrapped his fingers around the fabrics of {F/N}'s shirt, smiling a little. "You look good in my shirt."
"Do I now?"
{F/N} smirked as she was pulled down for a hug, laughing against his chest as she closed her eyes. "I guess I should keep it, then."
"I have no say in this, do I?"
"No."
She pecked his nose and crawled even closer to him, listening to his heartbeat until she fell asleep.
Iwaizumi simply smiled as he allowed his mind to replay all of the day's events, looking at the clock to see how long they had been going at it.
When seeing it was only five o'clock he figured taking a nap wouldn't hurt, so he closed his eyes as well and tried to get some rest. But with {F/N} in his arms, that wasn't hard to find.

"Hajime, we're home!" Iwaizumi's mother's voice rang, the sound of a door closing following behind the parents as they entered the living room. "How was sch-"
Upon seeing the passed out figures, the mother stopped talking and smiled, holding on to her husband's arm tightly. "Remember when we used to be like that? I think the two really are meant for each other."
The adults took off their coats and went up to their bedroom, where the motherly figure smiled once again.
"Thank you, {F/N}, for taking care of Hajime."
