"Okay, {F/N}, try to calm down and don't be mad..." Daichi tried, looking at the bathroom's trashcan in horror and refusing to drop his guard – this wasn't the ideal situation.
"How do you expect me not to be mad?! I mean, it's not like you can or could do anything about it, but- This is a pretty big deal, Daichi!"
"I know, and I understand that, but we have to tackle this problem together. It happened together, so we fix it together."
{F/N} took a deep breath and sat down on the closed toilet seat, fingers tangled up in her uncombed strands of hair. With a shaky voice, not louder than a whisper, she was unable to look him in the eyes. "How am I going to tell my mom the condom broke?"
Daichi rested his hand on her shoulder and offered her a hand to get up, before he dragged her into their living room and sat down on the couch with her. He wrapped his arms around the girl's body and rested his chin on top of her head, smiling a little when feeling her back relax against his stomach.
"We'll tell her together. If we say it carefully, I'm sure she'll understand. There's not much she can do about it now, anyways. I'll run by the drugstore first thing in the morning and get some stuff to keep us covered, okay? Don't worry about it. We'll be fine."
His thumb gently stroked against the skin of the back of her hand as he could feel her body tensing up again, knowing she was going to cry and therefore hugging her tighter.
"My mom's going to hate me, Daichi."
{F/N} tried to hold her tears but they had already spilled, leaving Daichi to do that what he was great at – comforting people.
"Why would she? It wasn't your fault, was it?"
"I was always her perfect little angel... She'll never forgive me for this..."
"{F/N}, it was an accident. This could've happened to anyone. And if worse comes to worst, we can always get him or her removed."
The girl wiped her tears and left his embrace, turning around to face him and tilting her head a little. "R-Repeat that last part?"
Daichi was confused by what she meant, but he did as told. "And if worst comes to worst, we can always get him or her removed...?"
"You just did it again."
"That's what you asked for."
"That's not what I meant."
When {F/N} realized he wasn't getting her, she shook her head amd cleared it up. "You said it as if you were disappointed by it."
The captain flushed a shade of red as he nervously scratched the back of his neck, averting his gaze to the coffee table and not knowing what to say.
"You also said 'him or her'. If you haven't given a baby a thought, you would've just said 'it'."
The boy flinched at the words and raised his head when hearing the girl chuckle, starting to lose track of the conversation more and more.
"If you wanted... You know, a-a kid... You could've just said so."
Even the girl herself flushed red at the mention, but she knew that if she wouldn't say it, he wouldn't understand. "It's not like I haven't given it any thought... I just didn't expect it to happen like this."
Daichi found a way to smile again and lifted {F/N}'s shirt partially, resting his hand on her stomach and kissing her forehead with his cheeks still burning. "D-Does that mean you'd... Want to keep it?"
"Daichi, we've been dating for four years. I thought you'd never ask."
{F/N} softly pressed her lips against his and couldn't help but smile, seemingly less worried about the entire situation. "So, we're finally doing this, huh? This is kind of exciting yet scary at the same time. But like someone great once told me, we're in this together!"
The smile she showed him deemed to be contagious, and the boy couldn't help but wrap his arms around her and deepen the kiss, his hands carefully cupping her stomach as if not to hurt the future baby.
{F/N} pulled away and giggled, grabbing her phone as Daichi continued to nuzzle his face into the crook of her neck. "I'll text my mom that we need to talk tomorrow, alright? Go text your mom and tell her the same."
The boy didn't stop his actions and earned another chuckle off her, making her roll her eyes and sigh. "Come on now, this is important. I'll let you bring the good news if you stop?"
Daichi reluctantly let go of her and grabbed his phone, shaking his head but dialing his mother's number regardless. "I think you should. It's your belly, after all."
"Yeah, and it's your sperm that made its way inside me."
"You want to hear something funny?"
"Hm?"
"Now it's yours."
{F/N} covered her face and blushed heavily, hearing her boyfriend laugh and wanting to take revenge on him for using their childhood phrase. "H-Have you given names a thought yet?"
Daichi pondered, "I always thought {Girl's Name} would be nice for a girl, but I want you to decide."
"That's a really nice name for a girl, if you ask me... I feel like if it's a boy, we should name it after you."
The captain got up and smiled softly, before pulling the girl off the couch and holding her hands. "You're making this really hard on me, {F/N}."
This time, {F/N} didn't understand.
"What do you mean?"
"The baby talk... He or she will have my last name, and you'll be the only one without it. {F/N}, will you please accept my last name?"
The girl's eyes widened as she realized what he was asking, not to forget about the sweaty palms she held in hers.
"Daichi... Are you asking me to marry you?"
"Yes. Yes, I am."
She let go of his hands and flung them around his neck, holding him close amd tightly as she began to cry tears of joy. "Then yes, I'll gladly accept your last name."
